Dude I really appreciate a walk through on this. I haver never had a full manual valve body or had the chance to drive one. I've always been interested in how to drive one. I understand the shifters have different patterns but the concept is the same. Thanks

Fmvb seemed pretty straight forward but a proper explanation/going thru the gears prior to actually owning one is nice. Anybody else thats done it is super vague and quick about it. I think I still wanna do paddle shifters but the whole switch set up you got there has me intrigued as well.

The full manual I did I put the torque converter lockup on an adjustable boost referenced Hobbs switch so say anytime over 5psi boost it locks if it goes under 5psi it unlocks. It made driving much less busy and never forgot to unlock coming up to a light or if someone cut you off and had to do sudden maneuvers. Again it’s another way you have to get used to driving. At 1300hp we were happy to get 100 sled pull hooks a year before doing a refresh.

I enjoyed the video and I drove my old 12 like that or some what like that as far as lockup and in my transmission ; Watching your transmission shift and the solid lock up of the convertor was amazing compared to my stock transmission . While towing I for sure would not want locked shifts . You sure build a nice transmission an If I ever have a automatic built for a dodge I certainly give you a call . Awesome explanation of shifting a fmvb. I own an 03 with a 47re full manual setup with a cheetah scs shifter and seeing someone explain shifting will help others out. Question i have is my truck is actually at a local trans shop getting rebuild because a couple weekends ago i was getting on it pretty good and was in 3rd and hit lockup and twisted the splines on the billet input which was also a tcs unit. Its getting a sonnax 1 piece unit now with a revmax torque converter and the truck is running at right around 500hp on the street tune. The race tune it has is upwards of 600+ which is where the trans lived most of its life before me. Im kind of hesitant now to get on it and lock it like i did lol but the question i have is when getting on it is it better to be locking sooner or later in the shifting? The only thing i hate about my shifter is where the switches are for lockup and OD are and am seriously thinking about going with a setup like yours where its right there and you dont have to mess around. Again thanks for the video

Locking up time doesn’t matter it’s how hard it sucks down the torque during lock up. Generally I do it under load at high rpm to lessen the shock load

@@horsetorquesdiesel I was asked by firepunk "Option 1 - Auto file keeps the PRNDL on the dash but will require you to have the TV motor plugged in. It doesn't have to be installed onto the VB but it will need to be plugged in or the truck will defuel. Option 2 - Manual file loses the PRNDL on the dash but then you would not be required to have the TV motor plugged in." I want my shift firmness to be based on the how I am driving. I forwarded the email to PDD. I ordered their 1000hp trans with most of the upgrades. Maybe I am over thinking it. I dont want a flopping cable. Not sure if I it will matter but I would like to see PRD21 so I know what gear I am in as I get used to it.

Good afternoon, a question if you can help me I did the same as you did. I bought the new Rosta connectir 1 power 7 lockout 6 overdrive but the converter lockout doesn't work for me I didn't put a gauge like you did to see how much pressure it is. What do you need for the pressure lockout to engage?

I’m waiting on my gts shifter to come in I ordered from PDD, and I’m curious about that nitrous button you have on your shifter. Is that a “mod” I can do to the gts when it comes in? I’d rather have my nitrous on my shifter vs my steering wheel. Love the content man, keep it up!
