Also to note, if you have a factory proportional valve you need the screw in brake bleeder “tool” basically a cap that screws into where the brake sensor on the valve goes. If you trying bleeding without this, you’ll trip the valve and it’ll make bleeding the brakes next to impossible. Valve is a safety device that in an event of sudden loss of brake fluid, it shuts off either the front or the rear of vehicle brakes from the fluid to prevent total loss of fluid. Thus allowing you stop.

@@tomasenriquez413 Proportional valve located under the master cylinder. Lines go from master cylinder to proportional valve to brakes if your truck has a proportional valve.

@@lulop022882 no proportional valve. abs module. removed factory abs module and tried used one. problem im having is as soon as i turn ignition brake pedal activates by its self. new calipers, master cylinder,hydro booster

No proportion valve. Abs module. removed abs module and tried used one. problem I'm having is as soon as i turn ignition brake pedal activates by itself. new calipers, master cylinder, hydrobooster. bled master cyn before installing. no fluid to any calipers

My man you are a genius. The bottle with fluid and hose is genius. I have used the vacula (vacuum bleeder) on this truck(2004 GMC Sierra) twice to bleed the system. However the bottle method finished the bleeding process. Thank you so much.

Such a pain in the ass not getting them in but to get them to seat in the abs module man I fought it for so long kept leaking at the flare

I’ve been trying to bleed the fronts for 2 days not and it’s just not working. Im barely getting any fluid out of the bleeder, any tips or tricks? I’ve tried for about 2 hours total on just the fronts

You will need a bidirectional scan tool to activate the abs module bleeding procedure. He was lucky that the hard lines from the master broke. No ABS brake light came on, so he was able to bleed the system without a scan tool.

I bought an extra master cylinder cap, drilled & tapped it and screwed an air chuck into it. Fill the master cylinder & put 10 psi of air on it. Easy peasy to bleed the brakes with the MC pressurized.
