I use to worked at my fathers brake shop years ago. From few videos I've see on changing rear disc brakes....I have a 2001 Hyundai Tiburon, they do not show it correctly. For the rear pistons you can not compress them in with a C-Clamp or piston depressor. That is for front disc brakes. Because the rear disc system uses an emergency brake that works the rear calipers, you need to SCREW the piston back in. DO NOT JUST PUSH IT IN...or you will damage the caliper. You need a Four Wheel Disc Brake Piston Tool . Auto parts stores or Harbor Freight sells, theirs are cube shape (to fit many cars). I use for my car a wrench for replace 4.5" angle grinder disc. It has "tits" that fit notches in caliper's piston and handle. Turn....screw in piston just enough for new pads to fit. Make sure you line up piston's notches with "tits" on the disc pad. Then reinstall caliper. AGAIN, never PUSH.....forcing piston back in on rear caliper!!!!

+Mike Lubin This is a 2003 Hyundai Sante Fe, and the rear brake caliper piston does not screw in. It also does not have a notched surface for screwing the piston back in as you can see at 8:27. You would have a really, really difficult time trying to compress a screw-in piston.

Would anyone happen to know why my rear brake pads are really grinding so bad after we changed em? We even had the bearings changed to last year I think it was my husband thinks it's that again but I know the grinding noises are coming from the brake pads I think he forgot to bleed em by the rotor area how can we restart? To get out the grinding noise? Can someone msg me for some help? I would really appreciate it, my mom relies on me for rides daily. And I dont wanna have to say I cant to her :( anyways leave a comment if and idk maybe we can exchange emails or something thx
