Had the same on my 02 caravan. I followed the 2 hoses from the Purge valve " pass side near the rad" found 2 small 5/16 hoses split and replaced. Check engine comes back p0455 again. Went under car and found 3/4 hose with tear near canister with a lot of broken clamps reset and 055 back again. Replaced vent valve and now hoping it is fixed.

Replace purge valve if you haven't. It's common cause on Caravans for 0455

Evap leaks are common on these vehicles. There are also some small hoses under the hood which split and leak. its important to note that this wont shut down your car, it just trips a code which trips your check engine light. I have fixed this once, and now have another leak elsewhere. thanks for the video - i will focus on the bigger hoses now.

I recently got the 0442 code on my 2003 dodge caravan. I change the gas cap , because I don’t hear the hissing sound when you remove the cap . Still don’t hiss with the new gas cap . Does this mean there’s a leak on the gas tank or Leak on the filler neck . If you don’t hear any hissing does this mean it’s leaking in the gas tank or filler neck?

yup ur right theres a leak somewhere in ur avap system get it smoke to verify where its coming from and u can see here in this video where the common place where u can find the leak

I keep smelling gas fumes, but I've checked for leaks and don't see any. I even put UV dye in gas tank. Would the ESIM cause that. I had the P0456 code last year, replaced gas cap with OEM part and didn't fix. After I cleaned the filler hole and put a little grease on the gas cap the CEL went out. Now a few months later I smell gas. Pinoy?

I have a 2002 caravan. Had the same problem. I found three short rubber hoses about 2 inches long that had split open that were located under the hood on some evap line. If dodge would have used a higher grade rubber hose like fuel line this would have never happened. lower quality material did not last long term.

Hi there great video btw. I was hoping to pick your brain. I have a 04 gmc envoy with P0455. I have replaced, purge solenoid, vent valve solenoid, gas tank cap, the gas filler neck and hose, secondary air system pump and its relay. I still have the code. I bought The smoke machine you have in your video. I did the smoke test through the gas filler port, I seen a lot of smoke escaping from the vent valve solenoid. Would this be the issue possibly that the vent valve I purchased from auto zone was faulty? I also have a short video identifying the smoke coming from the vent valve. I don’t know if this was normal being that I did the test through the gas filler port. May you give me your advice on my situation? Thank you very much.

If im going to diagnose ur car i will hook up my smoke test after the purge solenoid with a T connector so that i can check also if my purge solenoid had a leak then i will plug the vent solenoid hose so that no smoke escape then check for smoke especially the tank where u install the fuel pump
