2001 Powerstroke F350 7.3 - Installing Factory 11-16 AUX Upfitter Switches For Off-road LED Lights

After buying Rough Country Front and rear bumpers they come with LED bar, front and rear pods, also the LED light kits can be ordered alone, The light kits come with everything needed to install them such as the Relay, Fuses and the light switch. In my case i wanted to install the Factory 11-16 AUX upfitter switches to keep the factory look, but it also meant i had to dig deeper to figure out how to wire them up, never seen anyone install these in 2001 7.3 trucks so i figured ill give it a shot. I had to find the wires with key on and key off for the Upfitter harness and then use a factory plug in order to plug in directly. It was a bit of a headache honestly, but im glad i took the time to figure it out.

I’m glad you take the time and have the knowledge to do wiring like that. Man I’m good when it comes to doing engine, drivetrain, suspension, even lighting on my 7.3L. But....... when it comes to wiring, that stuff makes me want to gently annihilate everything......

Thanks brother, honestly I could do most of the things, but when it came to wiring I always felt so overwhelmed, this dash swap forced me to go kinda over my head with wiring, at times I just gave up and didn’t wanna continue, but there was no turning back and had to force myself to keep going, I’m glad the pain is over and some new knowledge gained haha
