Ohh a RXDI, pre-watch comment. I have been looking for one of these. My son wants a non-electronic controlled ski.

32:00 I would have really pulled the air box way before I pulled the exhaust. I find it easier with that bottom bolt for exhause if the air box is out of the hull and the throttle body is sitting in the hull.

Never touched a di. I don't have the software yet. Maybe my next investment. I buy/fix for fun and usually try to stick with 787. Really enjoy your videos

30:00 that bottom water hose is always the problem....Going in and coming out!!!!! HA

21:00 I hate that bolt on the exhaust. I have yet to find hex for a ratch which can fit. It is always like you with a hand hex.

Excellent explanation, thanks for all the follow through, just one question: Where the tiny hose, the one that is on the back of the engine below the injectors goes? When you pulled out at the top you cut two hose but the tiny or slim one where exactly goes? From the bottom to where? Thanks

The very thin pipe goes from the bottom of the air compressor and runs to the oil fill tube at the front of the machine. It just recycles excess oil from the bottom of the compressor.

So I have a 1996 Seadoo GSX I’m here in Georgia. Was just curious what’s the best way to winterize the ski?
@grast51502 ай бұрын
OK I have done too many DIs (4 personally) now because I am doing your procedure. If no compression, lets jut pull the engine as easier to work on out of the hull. HA. LOL. FYI, I am not a flipper. I have built 2 for the family and 2 for friends. When these Dis are running, In my opinion and my boys, they are better than the 4 strokes. Later. Good Video.

I love them. When they run they run good. They are also easy to repair. The only difficult part is getting that darn clamp installed on the exhaust ! I absolutely hate that part.

@@SeadooRefurb That's why I keep the exhaust intact as a whole unit.

I have one of these I got in a trade and now I’m dreading working on it 😂😂😂
@SeadooRefurb2 ай бұрын
They are hard to fix, but easier than a 4 stroke and cheaper to repair as well.

I have a blinking maintenance light on. What do I need to read the maintenance light.

Cando pro reader is about the cheapest reader I have seen. Check to see if the diagnostic cap is on. Make sure oil is full. Make sure you have good amount of fuel. Check all electrical connections.

@@SeadooRefurb ok this is my first sea doo so I’m a green horn on this but where is the diagnosis cap at?
@SeadooRefurb2 ай бұрын
It is attached to the hood shock under the plastic storage bucket

@@SeadooRefurb awesome thank you. Now how do you change and check oil on that engine? 947/951cc engine
@christophershelton93022 ай бұрын
And where is it located at on the engine?
@92250x2 ай бұрын
You know,....that whole exhaust will come out in 1 piece. You have to remove the mid mount completely and sometimes the mag rubber intake bracket.
@92250x2 ай бұрын
Also, I've seen that type failure many times. Severe lean running condition. Usually I find loss of fuel pressure from a partially plugged inline fuel filter.
@SeadooRefurb2 ай бұрын
Yes..having said that , the rxdi's are so compact that it is very hard to get it out of the engine bay .
@92250x2 ай бұрын
@@SeadooRefurb No, you just need the right combo of twist and pull. The GSXL is just a hair tight but they'll even go as a complete unit. I've Rebuilt 2 GSXL's, an XPDI, and a GTX DI this season. Once you figure it out I promise you won't mess with that large clamp anymore!
@SeadooRefurb2 ай бұрын
Sounds like a plan ! I will try it.

Go back and look at your video at the rave valve on the generator side it looks like a chip where it was hitting the piston but great video otherwise 😊
@SeadooRefurb2 ай бұрын
You have an eagle eye !!! I did notice that and was thinking that it had be unprofessionally ground by someone to create clearance for oversized pistons but they were stock . (meaning ..you are correct.) :)
