You're welcome Arden, but what exactly is your car doing? this is one reason that could prevent it from starting, but there are also many others.

@@thediyyardie7192 Hiya there is a bit to be honest. Firstly the heated seats stopped working and then a day or so later the seatbelt sound goes off for no reason and stays sounding. The boot has started to open up when the key is in the ignition or when I turn the key I can't remember now. Also the car cranks but no starts. I've had a new battery and a new key coded but no joy. It also had all fuel pumps and filters switched about 3 months ago so I don't think it could be them as the car was fine for a while. so now I am going to change this ignition switch hopefully today or tomorrow as I am just waiting for the part to be delivered. Also I put a mechanics tool on the car and we got a ews problem code that's why I got a new key coded. Basically drove the shop and came back out and the car would crank but not start.

@@arden6665 Wow, you have a lot going on there, the problem could be the ignition, but it honestly sounds more like some sort of a short, or stuck/faulty relay, did you also check for fire at plugs and fuel pressure?

@@thediyyardie7192 yup I sure do hahaha. I changed the barrel and still no change in the car. However I did look more at this ews code 4A63 and it seems to be telling me my immobilizer has engaged so next step is to buy a lead and inpa app and see if I can fix it from there 😂 dam cars are a pain but I just love this model of X5.

Hi there, I currently have a 2006 bmw 530i e60, Yesterday when trying to register my cars battery the ignition locked after i pulled the key out, Now i cant insert the key at all, Do u have a fix for this?

I can't say that I have ever had that issue, I have seen these ignitions stick and prevent the key from being inserted, but in a case like that, the ignition cylinder would usually need to be replaced, try disconnecting the battery to see if the key would go in then?

Hi my problem is that the key don`t Go inside so you cannot start and the steering don`t block

sounds like you have a worn ignition, the key cylinder section, it may need to be replaced.
