Never got around to fuel pump yet w/212 k on it But fuel filter has rusted through and leaking have to drive it 2 blocks to shop (“Keep’em running “)

Should have changed the fuel filter as 1st diagnostic as it is way cheaper and the primary causation of low or no fuel at the fuel rail. At least should have changed it with fuel pump, or for sure mentioned it.

You can get that part aftermarket or from toyota

I might be having a fuel pump issue on my 02 Sequoia. Fuel filter was clogged and the gas that came out was brown. Works great now but please let me ask you something: my relays are feeling hot and I don’t know HOW HOT IS NORMAL for a relay? No one has seemed to have a definitive answer for this. They are hot to the touch but not enough to scald my finger. This is after driving 10 miles. Is this a sign of malfunctioning??

i just used a small pair of channel locks to get the electrical connector off the top of the tank. channel locks are good because you can exert focused pressure on the connector and wiggle it off.
