I have a 2002 325i Sport wagon with the 5 speed and sport suspension that I special order in the Fall of 2001 (plus I added a UUC short shifter)....she has been a great car and I hope she lasts for several more years. Thanks for a very fun review. If you fold the seats down, it is amazing how many you can haul in this little work horse. Cheers!

do you have any problems?
@laurenlopez29733 жыл бұрын
@@ericrudni9809 Over almost 20 years? LOL. Well, sure. The ABS control module had to be replaced in 2010. The placement of this module in the engine bay is the root of this failure...heats up and cools off and over time this damages connections. Expensive part. 3 of 4 window regulators have had to be replaced. Interestingly, not the driver window...go figure. Electronic coolant thermostat. One clutch at 90K miles.One ignition coil went bad...5 of the 6 are still original...at 135K miles that's amazing. Cam shaft position sensor was replaced 4 years ago. And then the usual value covers and such over the years. But overall, this car has rocked. She is still running and will be 20 in November 2021 (her build date) Oh yeah, she blew an expansion tank back in 2015, which is apparently pretty common. I just had her Headliner replaced as it was coming loose. And the on/off volume knob went caput on the radio but I was able to order a cool replacement part out of CA and, incredibly I replaced this myself. Watched the video 100 times but got it done. Also apparently very common. The door locks sometimes act weird but I still have both original keys and try to rotate them to keep the batteries in them active...apparently using them is what keeps them up to snuff. She has always been garaged and always used premium gas and she looks like she just came out of the box. I honestly have loved this car. And she has shared the garage with a 2000 Porsche 911 for 14 years and a 2014 Porsche 911S for 5 years. Guess which car I still have? Yep, the BMW wagon.

@Lauren Lopez that's it? Over 20 years? I'm assuming you left out breaks and such obviously 🤔 I've only recently been looking into getting a wagon and always had a bad impression of BMW reliability for some reason. Thanks for the info.

I have a 2004 touring......240K miles. Its a great car I have owned it since 2008 So many road trips...you can carry kayaks and bikes. It seats 4 and handle well and most things still work. The plastic trim could be in better shape...but a Fl car with no rust.

Dont know if you bought it. The AWD sucks, not really AWD at all. They either dont work or it just is really shitty from factory. Most power goes to the rear wheels.

They actually do have cupholders, two in the center console that you can see at 3:34 and two in the back of the rear seat headrest. These E46 3 series had the best cup holders in the BMW lineup compared to the E39 and E38
