My driver’s side fan won’t come on and is resistant to turn manually. So, thanks for this video. I was gonna wire directly to the battery to see if it kicks in to be sure. Was gonna get a whole kit including thermostat, wiring and relays, but now I’ll probably just try the fan motor

My 03 Impala coolant fan should come on at 200 degrees Fahrenheit but it does not. I can activate them with the A/C on only. Engine coolant temp sensor faulty? Fuses ok. Thanks

I have a 03 Impala. Just put in a New Radiator and Fan Unit. The Old Fans weren't working I found out. I watched your Video and I got the Drivers fan to work ( I was Squealing at first) and then calmed down and worked. The number 1 Fan at the time I could not get to work. I did all the things in your video to No avail .. I checked Both fuses ( 25 amp they were good) I switched the Grey Relays around and still only the # 2 Drivers side works. The passenger side fan on the NEW fan assembly Still won't work I ordered a Black relay # 2 to see if that might be the problem, but that won't be here until later today. Is there any way to test the black relay?? Is there a wat to Jump across the pole ?? as you showed with the Grey relays??

So do both fans come on with ac? I am getting mo fans when ac turmed on compresser clutch engages but no fans and no cooling

Should the middle relay (fan count #2) (5 pin relay) have 2 pins receiving 12v like the other 2 relays (fan count #1 & #3) (4 pin relays)? When I test for voltage on the relay circuit box, i get 12v on both pin slots 85 and 30. But on Fan #2 I only get 12v on pin slot 85. Why not pin slot 30 as well? Is that normal?

My 2003 Chevy Impala had great ac, then went out all of a sudden, i got it from my grandmother, it’s been garage kept and only has 30,000 miles... the clutch plate spins so i don’t think it’s bad, the fans spin while ac is on as well, the heat works, but ac is warm on both drivers and passenger side, so i believe the blend doors aren’t the issue... does it sound like maybe i need freon and that i may have a leak?

If u haven’t already you need to get your ac recharged that’s all and it’s cheap as well! I had the same problem in the summer time (imagine) 😓

Got a question both of my fans come on with the ac but went my engine get hot the main fan stop working then when it cools the main fan turn back on!!! Do you think that's the relay

Mine only comes on with the ac on. With out it it doesn’t turn on. I replaced the relays and it still has the same problem

Sounds like your temperature sensor is bad. Under $20 but kind of a pain to replace. Small hands will come in handy lol.

Did this fix your fans are they now running without having to turn on a/c?

@@JoseHernandez-ni1ol yeah the code went away had to change the connector too and bleed the coolant good. I bought a giant funnel that can hold like a gallon filled it up half way with coolant and let it bubble out for like 30 minutes idling.
