Dr. Garrett Moscos of Villa Park, California, passed away Sept. 10, 2006 at age 70. Born in Southern Africa of Greek/Dutch heritage, Dr. Moscos also spent many years in Central Africa, mainly Zimbabwe, Zambia and the Belgium Congo. He emigrated to the United States in 1962, accompanied by his wife, Josina, son, Nicholas and daughter, Louisa, to pursue his doctorates. Following the completion of the premedical requirements, Dr. Moscos entered and graduated from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1973 where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) and subsequent Naturopathic Medical (N. M. D.) degrees. Dr. Moscos entered private practice in Costa Mesa, California in 1974. In 1991, he was requested and appointed to the position of personal Chiropractic Physician to members of the Royal Family in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Dr. Moscos and his wife, Josina, spent the next five years in Saudi Arabia in this capacity, as well as establishing the first chiropractic clinic in the Middle East. He is survived by wife, Josina J. Moscos; son, Nicholas Moscos(Heidi); daughter, Louisa Moscos; grandchildren, Amy Moscos, Brandon Moscos, Erin Moscos, Haley Moscos, Chloe Moscos and Sharon Stanley. Funeral services will be 2:30 Sunday, September 17, 2006 at Pacific View Memorial Chapel 3500 Pacific View Drive, Corona del Mar, CA 92625. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Disabled Veterans, DAV, Cincinnati, Ohio 45250-0301 P.O. Box 14301 or any homeless shelter.
