Watch a full tutorial as a 2011 Audi A3 will have an amplifier and subwoofers installed to the factory radio. Note this Q3 has been equipped with the factory Bose amplified sound system which will be retained with this install.

its easy to hook up aftermarket amp to your car guys.. for rca cable just splice them in to any of your factory speaker 🔈 and remote wire can be plugged into any fuse that powers on and off when car turns on and off.. and battery cable to your positive side of the car battery and ground cable can be bolted down anywhere in the trunk that has bolts and speaker wires to your aftermarket subs... enjoy 😊

The A3 in the video does not have Bose Sound System. That is the standard Blaupunkt sound system. You can tell by the factory subwoofer you tapped into.. thats not how the Bose factory Subwoofer looks like plus it would have "BOSE" engraved on the factory Subwoofer enclosure. The doors speaker grills would also have a silver metal strip that says "BOSE Sound System" too. Just thought i'd let ya know 👍🏼 I've dropped you a message on your facebook page as I'm after information for basically this same setup you did in this video for my 3dr Audi A3 8P which has Bose Sound Sytem and Factory Audi Navigation Plus RNS-E headunit and I would like to fit an aftermarket Subwoofer & Amplifier to it...

Yep we kept the factory audio system intact and just robbed signal for our new setup.

I have the oem blaupunkt sub in my A3 8p. Will this be the same method ? And will my oem sub keep working or not because i dont want to hear my terrible stock sub cracking while my other sub is doing its job

Thats what i was wondering if you can remove the original subwoofer speaker and use the speaker wires to the converter

I would take the sub out and unhook the wires, the amp in the sub box also controls the rear speakers. Then you can put the sub back in the box, just unwired.

I'm going to try your idea with this connection in my audi a3 8p '09 with Blaupunkt sound system. Do you think that connection will be the same if it's not bose? I've got an amp with hi input, you are using converter, with my amp it's not necessary i think, and i heard that using converters can spoil a quality of sound because of some noise. Do you hear any noises caused of converter?

I have the audi concert head unit with Bose but the 6" sub is a blaupunkt . Did you do the install?

​@@kevinmallon8692Yup, everything was the same, it works well without converter, but i will disconnect Blaupunkt soon and just leave extra sub, it works way better :)

@@patrykchomontowski1564 so its best if i get a sub with hi input avoid line out converter? How would i connect the wiring? He left the blaupunkt in would it be better to delete it and wire up to the dual voice coil sub wires? Is that what you meant? Thanks for the help!

I only heard about weird noises with using converter, idk maybe it's not true or just 1 of 100, i had an ocasion to buy amp with hi input with good price that's why i did it, at the moment i've got Blaupunkt and JBL sub, but the plan is to keep only JBL in place of Blaupunkt to do not lose cargo space. Connection depends of your Amp and converter. I ve got an extra switch button for turning on the sub, that's the only diffrent thing than in video ;)

why you don't use speaker level input on your amp?

It's rare that amps that arrive to be installed (if not sold by us) show up with the high level input harness for their amplifiers. To tailor a more standard practice to the audience, it's easier to go the route of a proper line out converter install to accommodate any amp the viewer is trying to install.

@@ProvoBeastAudio From my experience is rare that amps don't have high level input, more often used amps don't have harness, but its nice that nearly all amps use standard 4pin ATX connector and some of these amps with have integrated signal sensing turn on so no need REM wire. So IF amp have high level input you can save $20 and no need connect bulky RCA cabels and maybe REM

@@Gintas50 in my experience on this channel, most of the videos feature lower powered amps. Usually lower powered and cheaper budget amps don’t have the speaker outputs
