Would a 2000 Ford e-150 with a 4.6 be the same cause I have both codes and really bad hesitation

Yup, thats a common issue. Chain stretch is brought on due to age, wear and lack of lubrication.

How did you verify timing was off ? Valve covers off and crank at TDC?

In-cylinder pressure test with a scope and ignition sync. Used that to sell the teardown, once torn down we confirmed what we already knew based on scope capture.

You said the scope showed 30 degrees before top dead center which is an advanced timing setting. But your photo of the cam gear, according to your marks, shows retarted cam timing.
