For the upper trans mount on left side (driver) the center nut is 98 ft pounds and the 4 outer nuts are 59 ft pounds. I have a Hayes manual for the mk1 focus

Also… I recommend for the lower engine/trans mount on the underside I recommend taking out the entire mounting bracket with the 3 bolts that bolts on to the trans. Then once it’s out you can take it to a vice or something and get the mount bolted to the bracket then it slides in real real easy.

Now there's some headlights that need restoring... (66 ft.lbs. nuts), (35 ft.lbs. bolts) Engine mounts (2005 Focus- 2.0L & 2.3L engines)... Looking at the after new mounts were installed, are you sure the motor should move that much with that clunking? Just looks like a lot of movement and clunking. another great video. Thanks!

My son took his focus to a mechanic who said the tranny has problems. I poked around and found the tranny mount is smoked, so I assume the other mounts are smoked. The car jumps when started, accelerating it's OK but not tight, I can feel that lurch like my f- 150 with a bad mount, foot off the gas or braking it shakes like a mother. Is it worth trying the mounts,? The guy just drove it, did not put it on the lift. Thanks

It depends on what the transmission is doing, vibration yes, but probably is the drive shaft!

How do you remove the rear motor mount if it bolt just spins? That’s what’s happening to me

Cut the bolt and get a new one with a nut

Well this cause a car to shake uncontrollably at around 60_70 mph done balanced all 4 tires an replaced tierod still shakes
