2003 Mitsubishi Shogun Review - Is It A Good Commercial Vehicle?

Brian Morris gives us a review of a 2003 model Mitsubishi Shogun, as he finds out how it performs and handles, as well as seeing how practical it is and whether it makes for a good commercial vehicle. This Shogun comes with a 2.5 litre engine which produces 160bhp around and returns a mileage of around 30mpg combined.

2003 Ibought this new in tge 3litre V6 version-GLS trim-central locking,electric mirrors/windows,leather seats,climate control,sunroof.I 'jacked it up'by 2.5" using Bilstein Shocks and springs

2.5 is only 115bhp and 4.5k service intervals! thats only for oil/filter. .Parts are getting a lot cheaper now .Watch out for oil cooler pipes rotting £50 to replace both .Fuel tanks rot and so does the filler pipe £450-£600 to replace depending on where you get it from .If you look under the rear wheel arch where the fuel filler pipe runs to the tank you will see a stupid plastic cover which has a gap which allows dirt ect to collect and then it just rots the pipe and top of tank , just line the inside of the wheel arch with rubber to prevent dirt ingress.Not a lot of other issues good looking jeep and can be bought now for reasonable prices but a good service history is worth a little bit extra cash.

Also, my Shogun Sport had a load space of more than 3 cubic metres.

30mpg on a Shogun Sport is dreamland. 24mpg max

This is the exact same car I have here in America but it’s a 3.5L V6 RWD lol rip Montero Sport

First of all. NOT A SHOGUN. It is a Shogun Sport, which is a completely different car. While it does have a 2.5TD engine it produces only 114bhp. They never made a 1.8 litre model or a 3.5 litre model. The only other engine you could have in this car was a 3.0 petrol V6. Please actually find out about what you are driving before you make another review.

@@louier9033 no the 2000-2004 Montero Sports were Available with the 3.0L V6 Engine or the 3.5L V6 Engines.

Yet to see a 3.2 tdi one of these , also what builder or spark would want one of these instead of a van , best jeep about crap review .

John Humphries I agree with you, the reason you have never seen a 3.2 is because there was never a shogun sport with a 3.2 engine, there was only a 3.2 diesel in the bigger Shogun
