The Silver Sharpie cars from his 2003 Bristol sweep- the best-looking cars Kurt Busch ever drove.

back in early 2000's, people complain the race was too long and boring and no side by side racing. Look @ today - 10X worst - no big name.

Thanks for loading this. My first NASCAR race and I've never heard boos as loud as those for Kurt Busch when he was introduced. It was awesome.

Yes, snowflakes, Matt Kenseth led the points by over 300 with just 1/3 of the season left. But people kept watching the races, even though there wasn't much hope for anyone to catch him.
@PYLrulz19844 жыл бұрын
And everyone bitched then. Especially since he wasn’t winning races in bunches while dominating in the points.

JesusHippie fans bitched. They saw Kenesth winning the title like that, and whined about it. Problem was, wins weren’t made more of a priority, but the Chase was created from it. So again. Fans whined about it

Another thing Nascar is missing today is the determination and team work crews showed in fixing damaged cars. This new crash clock and no repairing cars is a bunch of crap.

Around the 1 hour 40 minute mark. "Wouldn't it be nice to see win #98 tonight." Win 98 wouldn't come for another eight years after this. Win 99 followed six years after that.

This particular car was really good. They could still produce a really high quality short track package, though they struggled on the superspeedways. Rudd was strong at Richmond and New Hampshire around this era too. After Fatback came on board they added some restrictive plate speed as well.

Interestingly, this was Kurt's only night race win at Bristol (Whereas his brother Kyle went back-to-back in the night race). Combined 10 Cup wins here, but 7 of them were in the spring race.

Crazy to think this was 21 years ago now. Feels like just a couple year ago. NASCAR blind as a bat not paying attention to this popularity and the format of racing. This was the good ole days. Matt Kenseth put on an a$$ kicking of consistency. I dont even watch but a few races now days. If you only watch the end of the race thats all that matters now. 3 to 5 green white checkers everyone wrecking like hell. Rest of the race is pointless.

10:30 - i forget that Wally did offer decent insight into driving. In my simple minded opinion, a drivers radio (well at least some drivers radio) chatter doesn't mean anything at all. Its a way of letting off steam.

At 59:30 or so, TNT poses the question, "whose side are you on, Kurt Busch or Jimmy Spencer?" I say Spencer because, by 2003 the Cup series was ruined by a plethora of Earnhardt wannabe idiots who had no idea how to drive other than full throttle and f^^k the consequences. Kurt Busch was the worst of that "new breed". By 2005 even the "good guys" were wreckin' rather than racin'. Then, add the HUGE amounts of money, the moronic "race for the Chase" and a bunch of pointless rule changes and you get the present travesty that is - for now - NASCAR. When they can't even sell out the 600 mile race in Charlotte, you know they are done.
@imakeumadLOL4 жыл бұрын
Dude. Jimmy Spencer fucking sucked. Kurt Busch has more talent in his chipped tooth than Jimmy Spencer has ever had in any point of his career. I'm sorry you're butthurt Earnhardt died, but this sport was fine after his death, and it was doing fine with the chase. Blame nascar for their constant meddling and the disaster the COT was in terms of actual racing. If there's any blame to throw around with drivers, it's not any in this race.
