Thanks for the video. Since the sway bar brackets are slotted and open ended, I removed the back bolts with a 15mm socket, then took an open ended 15mm wrench and snuck it under the steering bellows to just loosen the front bolts. That way, the brackets can be pushed toward the rear and removed easily without having the interference issues of trying to completely remove the front bolts. It also allows the entire sway bar to be detached for working room, and makes reassembly easy since the bolts that were left in will locate the sway bar once the assembly is pushed back into place.

2006 pacifica, I have to replace the sub frame and sway bar bushings already have fixed alot nothing major yet Love the ride it gives really nice car if you are machanically inclined.

Yeah completing the subframe is a pretty nice accomplishment and these would be nice cars if the werent so dagon problematic. Be aware of the the corroded grounds that cause the asd circuit trip and no start. Just throwing that out there jic

Thank you for your time and all the effort doing this. I really appriciate this. Here in Miami somebody changed my transmission and forgot to tigh the bushing bolts . For that reason the car lost one bracket and the other one was lose. With this video I know how to fix the problem. Thank you so much !

A-It's sounds like you are from Wisconsin. B-thanks for the great video. C-I would suggest hitting those bolts with some WD40 or PB Blaster. You got lucky and didn't break them but many snap causing a PITA (pain in the ass). Also, when the bolts get tight,Hit them with some more lube and work them in and out a little.

Robert Pockey sometimes lube just causes things to gall. I needed to work those in and out to keep them from breaking. An impact works wonders. Thankfully a 3/8" fit in there. You get an impact that is too strong, or force them out too much, and they will snap. One more thing, you're one state off. All that Swede rubbed off on me.

I took mine to shop today and they said the exact same thing. Couldnt find anything at first then called me back anx told me this was the problem. Ill find out tomorrow when i get it back :) sounds about right tho.

Could that bushing go bad and make the Pacifica feel like a boat triing to roll over on curves around 55 60mph? Triing to figure out if it is my struts or what thanks

Broken sway bar links will make a car feel like a bathtub full of water going around corners. You could always suspect struts if the links are okay.

I was told by my father in law for my 06 Pacifica a few hours at least (3-4), but really you never friggin' know what's gonna happen when you get under a hood or vehicle, especially one with several years and/or miles. A simple spark plug change turned into 3 coils, a PCV, now there's a different misfire, running too rich after the PCV - and that's just the short story, and legit, not taken to a shop or firing parts yada yada. So.......
