Thanks for the video. Got one with a timing cover that's broken where the engine mount attaches. How many miles on that one that it needed a chain?

@@oscars-autorepair3236 Dang, must have not gotten enough oil changes?

@@maceliusI'd think so. Need to do the chain on my '08 with 330,000km (205,000 miles). Fuel economy is unaffected.

@@ivanvarela3215 Thanks for the info, my girl's '11 2.0 Mazda 3 is coming up on 200, good to know! P.S. I got creative, said to myself screw messing with the timing cover if the chain is good, and decided to just hack off the broken nubs that held the engine mount studs off the cover with a grinder and a cutoff wheel, then grind it down to a flat enough surface to mount a solid, steel engine mount bracket i fabbed up directly to the block, without relying on passing any forces through the cover's casting. It'll never break again, and it's modular. Should have done it that way from the factory. I swear, sometimes, they design these parts just to break and cause expensive repairs to make their repair shops $$. Anyway, got pics and video, just gotta edit and upload..

I've read that those scissor jacks safety mechanisms fail. You may want to have another safety measure in place.

Good videos, but did I miss where you removed the water pump pulley and serpentine belt? I don't see it in the previous videos?
