2004.5 GMC LLY Duramax Mishimoto Upgraded Radiator & Intercooler Project!

Putting the same upgrades on my 2004.5 lly soon. I have the radiator, just ordered the intercooler. I even have the same Banks intake. Also putting my Pusher y- bridge and hot and cold pipes. Thanks for your video!

that is a hell of a warranty , plastic has a short lite , prone to failure . all metal , all welded , can not go wrong . durability and long life ,. nice up grades

That aluminum TIG welding was done by hand. Look along the welds and you should see obvious start & stop points. The little wavy parts in the fillets every now n then - human work! A shop I worked in for 11 years had some amazing TIG welders. When we got certified every years for USDND contracts, the inspectors would compliment the welders because of the quality & speed they were able to make the welds. Very nice products you have there. But you & your bank account already know that lol.

Very very nice. When you're done you will have a much more reliable truck. My next goal is at least this Mishimoto rad for my 6.0l Ford. This upgrade with the Banks tuner and better cooling can never be enough. Enjoy.

Yep, never enough cooling. If you pull the trigger on a Mishimoto radiator, you won't be disappointed!

The inner cooler is probably off a lb7. Because it looks identical to mine.

Nice upgrades but you have missed the biggest upgrade possible for the lly. Put and LBZ turbo mouth piece on. It makes a massive difference.

Metal shield on down pipe is for heat, not noise. Any update on EGTs and or engine heat reduction with the upgraded parts?

The smiles will come when I'm pulling a 6000' summit with the travel trailer and not worrying about the temp gauge!
