think this the same on a 09 GMC 2500 with Bose stereo system? I would assume so but before i tear the door panel apart id rather check. I already disabled the annoying seat belt chime warning, its a 2 prong wire under the driver seat easy to get to and obvious to see , i haven't messed with the passenger side yet it appears i need to remove the seat to get to an array of connections and will need to identify what one to unplug, lot going on on that side under the seat.

I have an 04 Silverado 2500 HD that has this annoying alarm on as soon as I hit 5mh. Now the thing is the door hinge is bad on the driver's door. Do you think this is the issue?

I unplugged it and then the radio wouldn’t go off at all with keys pulled and door shut.

If you unplug the chime at the door, does it kill the interior lights also?

Mine has a button on the dash, left side bellow the headlight on/off switch. It's the dome overide.. Hope you have on too. It's a hand feature.

Yes. When I disconnected it on my 05 GMC 2500hd (Base model/ no auto windows/door locks) the dome light no longer came on when you open the door...

I have an 04 Tahoe. Im here looking for an explanation. Aparantly the door stops chiming on its own after 10 minutes or so lol. It completely stopped chiming. I closed the door and opened it and the chime started up again

2012 Chevy Express 3500 Driver's side door speaker is the Chime alarm. disconnect speaker. I will rig back driver's side speaker to simulate stereo again

Tried it and it doesn't work All it did was cause the dash lights to stay on continuous even when the key was out of the ignition. Plugged it back in and the lights went off immediately. May work for someone by a freak accident otherwise DON'T DO IT!😢
