2004 6.0 trouble shooting. I’ve been banging my head trying to figure this out. Please watch the video and help point me in a direction or share your experience. Thanks in advance.

Change ur Crankcase Position Sensor and your good to go. It’s behind the power steering pump

Cam position sensor. Take out and take a wire brush to the block and clean it up. Maybe put a new one in. But if u clean it up you can still use it probably.

Relay cluster, it’s internal need to replace it. It’s under the steering wheel, it’s cutting off your fuel relay switch.

from what ive read is ipc sensors going bad but ill ask a few tecs at work.

Tell him to check central junction box. The relay for the PCm is in there. Maybe there's broken wires in there or possibly pcm itself And ask if there's any codes in the system key on engine off

ICP sensor. See if starts with a tiny tiny blast of starter fluid.

Starting fluid and glow plugs = blown pistons.

Same thing here I have 2004 60 and it will stall after I drive it down the street plus my gas light is always on even when tank is full

@crandallscooking I fixed my gas light but it's still stalling when gets hot and no acceleration when I step on gas peddle. I put it on computer and it says it's my exhaust sensor is open haven't fixed that part has yet cuz not sure which exhaust sensor is bad

Looking for help bought 2007 ford f-350 super duty 4c4 6.0l DESILE and I can start it and some times drive it like 5 kms then it just shuts off were ever it wants so I have to let it sit for few minutes some time and then it's good but there's other times it takes longer can someone please help out thanks

I know that this video is old, i have an 03 6ltr that will start run for about 4 minutes and then starts dropping inj and then runs itself completely out of, re prime it again it starts runs and then runs out of fuel, brand new ford fuel pump all new ford parts in fuel tank im completely out of ideas truck is extra nice only 174k miles never abused with tuners or aftermarket exhaust every part that has been replaced is from ford im about to set the truck on fire 🔥 im out of money from being ripped off from just about every diesel shop in town i really could use some honest advice if anyone has it thanks

I had the same problem, mine turned out to be little pieces of rubber in the hard line inside the fuel tank ( sending unit rubber foot ) clogged fuel lines , a new sending unit and 10 feet of rubber fuel hoses problem solved!

@@MrHotrocks69 you know when I dropped my fuel tank that black plastic foot was completely missing except for the small top part that slides onto the metal line and I couldn't find it anywhere I just took for granted that because it would run for a little while that it wasn't clogged maybe I should unhook both ends and blow air through it

Cody Phillips I ended up having a bad injector and a brand new, ford Motorsports exhaust back pressure sensor bad. When the sensor was touching a metal ( or grounded) surface it would short the 5v vref. Injector was found with a cylinder contribution test. One injector later she runs great. Much faster and smoother then I realized.

@@ToyotaJake was it seals or a stiction problem. Mine has newer injectors. although the ebp sensor has been spliced so I'll check that.

Cody Phillips it was a dead coil on the injector. I don’t remember if it was the opening or closing coil, but it was internally shorted.

Cody Phillips Basically, it doesn’t have to be this sensor or that sensor. The big issue was 5v vref being brought to ground. The ecu monitors this 5v signal very precisely. So in my case, it was the ebp sensor shorting to the small tube it mounts to. When o isolated the sensor from metal, it worked but proved the internal ground short. An ICP can do this too. I’ve heard if the electric fan clutch sensor, ect... Any interruption on the 5v vref makes it mad.

These things are super temperamental. The 3-wire sensors primarily run on a 5 volt system. The injectors amplify the force of high pressure engine oil. Approximately 1500-3500psi. This pressure is dependant on readings from the 5 volt sensors. So, shorts, wire breaks, crap sensors, or bad pcm issues all can lead to a crap running condition. This truck had the ICP replaced (several times) and some poor wiring. I belive the next owner found a few bad injectors as well. You find injectors with a cylinder contribution test. Hope this helps! Avoid cheap sensors 😁👍

@@mikereese657 any luck? mine died in rallys drive through, cranked it a couple times i fired up enough to get outta the drive through then died again, i can get it to start, and sounds healthy then outta no where it dies deader than shit. like i turned the key off.

@@brandonl7396 did you find your problem? Mine is an 06 and I replaced the ficm board Still no help I unplugged the ICP sensor it idled for an hour straight I plugged it back in and it died

@@brandonl7396 sorry to report late but no the truck still sits to this day other working trucks have pushed this about over the hill its not my truck its my father in laws for his construction buiss soo no time to diagnose further im sure hes givin up on it or its going to be towed to the ford doctor

Did u ever found out the problem. Mine just started acting up.but it starts and after 15 sex it stuters and another 15sex and it turns off
