So I watched another video and the other video with the ford explorer that one had 3 ports for the fuel filter curious on what the 3rd port was for

couldn’t really answer the fuel question without a lot more information. Never claimed to be a professional mechanic so enough with the semantic comments...I made this video because I couldn’t find a video to remove the fuel “pump”. Hope it helps someone.

2003 explorer 4.0L starts, runs ok, however when I let off the gas while driving, the engine loses power and the headlights, electrical lighting dims hard, but recovers what's going on??

James Willis sounds to me like you are describing in a best case scenario: a fuel pressure regulator or something with that line...or worst case scenario the timing chain. I am no mechanic but that is what I have heard.

@@ericknight7087 it's not a timing chain causing this.

If never done it before, I'd keep covers off to check for leaks before putting all back together, once it starts and runs a few minutes but doesn't get hot to burn you, then shut down, make sure no leaks again off, then put covers on just to be safe on if a leak, then half taking apart and can see where it's coming from. Always have a Fire EXTINGUISHER AROUND when working with gas that can start on fire fast and burn down by the time you come back with one. Safety is key, gas burns fast. All vehicles should have them. I'd hate to own electric and get burned from those now. I'll take gas burns any day over battery burns/explosions, lookup batteries that explode during use and or just sitting on battery charger. You won't recognize your battery. Happened to me twice, once in the car and smells was bad and eyes, had no clue what happened, then charging my battery once and it blew up over night, wasn't on charger 12 hours. I heard the bang but figured it was my neighbors as fireworks go off often. If see you might take care of used dead batteries better and recycle them for the acid and the lead. Some say you can use same battery but I have no clue how that work's. Best Regards to all.

It really don’t help if you don’t show the job being done. We want to know how to take that red clip off, nobody on youtube shows how to take it off, or to unclip it
@ericknight70877 жыл бұрын
josb inyoface - I thought the same thing but it is actually quite simple. It is a “C”style clip and you just slide it out (like a codder pin for a hitch)
