I watched this video to see the section about it's 4x4 capabilities. I discovered that there is not even a mention of 4x4 which I find very surprising, coming from a channel called 4x4TV.

+David Orr Sorry to confuse you. I was kidding. We only tested 4-wheel drive machines. We typically didn't mention much about their 4-wheel drive capabilities since few people ever use their trucks truly as 4x4s.

I have driven this truck for about 4 year and have put over 100,000 miles on it myself. I daily drive it in Southern California, take it to the mountains or desert on weekends. I agree that the power is decent but the transmission could have used another gear. The best parts about this truck hands-down is the steering feel and handling. It doesn't have the loose steering others seem to have and has minimal body-roll (for a truck anyway). The ride quality both on and off road is great as well.

in your list of specs, you have that it is a torsion bar front suspension, its a coil spring strut assembly ifs!

I own a 04 f150 just like this one with fx4 and its red. The cab doesn't quiver, the bed is perfect because you can put more in it because it's talker

A truck is a truck. Something may suck about each and every one of them. As long as they do the job, and get you where you need to go, looks shouldn't matter as much. They change things on pickups in attempt to make improvements. Shit happens...... And honestly, if you do not like that truck, GO BUY A DIFFERENT YEAR! Not every truck satisfies everyone. Thats why there is such a variety. I liked this review, at least they were honest about it.

I have the same truck and I love it and im a big kid and im always comfortable, and my bed never quivers nor my doors its solid and a bad ass truck, you guys dont like the truck very much obviously

It's a decent truck, but when you have the chance to drive it back-to-back with a Toyota we were disappointed in the build quality.

I really hope no one puts any weight in anything this guy is saying. Cab and bed shakes? Did you loosen the bolts? This truck can tow 9300 lbs and you are acting like it is a 4cyl ranger. Perhaps all you can afford is a 1980s pickup and you are bitter. Fact of the matter is this truck is much more capable than the previous model. This "review" was complete biased garbage and you really should not make any more.

Do you know were I can find a 2004 ford f150 bumper cover. think its called a valance panel. it looks like a bumper almost. its above the steal bumper.

My best guess would be a dealership or junkyard. Try using your search engine. You might find something on eBay.

This was indeed more involved than reading brochures, and my brother, who just bought this same truck agreed with just about everything....Sometimes to do a proper review you have to 'not' own the truck in question. It seems everyone that owns a particular vehicle (even Subaru Brat owners;-) are in love with their purchases and so justify them.

I have no problems out of my 04 fx4 f150 I just bought. minus a bit of highway shake, gas milage is great, truck is strong, bought used with 66,000 miles. love it. Red fx4 missing leather to be a lariat package.

I will say owning this vehicle there are several design flaws that I have had myself and heard from other owners mainly the power Windows at one point in time I had one working window, also with the 5.4 the spark plugs are a total nightmare also the engine knock which every 04 fx4 owner which I have heard from has don't believe it should sound like a diesel I understand this is a no bias review but these are some common issues I've come across but I do agree with the look and have had no issues hauling my fourwheeler

No problem, but thanks.....I'm pretty used to getting reamed for all sorts of reasons ;-) All I do is call 'em like I see 'em, and sometimes it gets people rankles up - sometime the manufactures as well - that's when it becomes painful ;-)

ok ok, all bs aside, 4.6 is trash 5.4 is the way to in EVERY SINGLE category. now about this guy talking about "quality" of that cloth interior.....as a detailer, i must say its in same line as mazda and kia, once you got a stain in it, forget it

+4x4TV Aesthetics are judged by the individual and therefore is your opinion. Just because you can't get over the fact that there isn't a 3-on-the-tree or a 4-in-the-floor doesn't mean these aren't nice yet capable trucks. It only means that you can't see beyond your own biased views of what you think or remember of trucks to realize that these are the evolutions of what trucks used to be. If your own views can't move forward along side with the innovation and improvements of newer vehicles then you have no business presenting your biased views of these vehicles to the public, who deserve a fair and unbiased review of vehicles based in experience, not your personal opinions.
