Guys, I'm surprised thermal cam didn't land you right on the short. If component removal opens your current path from harness connector, then inject voltage on the suspect rail to continue the chase. Start with low voltage, and enable current limiting so you don't burn traces or parts; you just need a little heat for FLIR to find THE hotspot. I love that you guys are getting down to the component level.

I enjoy your videos I have a 2004 Infiniti G 35 all wheel drive I change the spark plugs I change two coils Also, all the fuel injectors the massive flow sensor, and now it cranks, but won’t start so you can help me out please

Actually I did some work on an Infinity and module in the transmission knock down the entire network.

Camshaft and crankshaft position sensors go out on these fx's all the time. When my crankshaft position sensor went out my car died as I was slowing down doing 60 mile an hour not fun!

Wow.. after a year? Do you still use the car? And what year is the fx? Mine is 2004. The scanner said it’s crankshaft position sensor error.

@@danielosi1093i have an 03 same code but it can literally be so many things from these wiring issues to the sensor itself or if the flywheel isn’t mounted on the correct dowel in the transmission or what i’ve narrowed it down to, ecu replacement

That's correct, if you manually attempt to rotate the crankshaft in either direction and it won't budge, and the accessory belt is removed, and the starter pinion is confirmed to be retracted, then yes, your engine is seized. And it's much more work to get it removed from the transmission

Is this the very reason they invented the 3 and 4 wire coils ? Or maybe the Infiniti has such coil and the signal shorted inside the coil and burned the ECM? Can a signal short inside the coil on 3-4 wire coil and STILL burn the PCM ? Man , this is hard.. 👍

I believe it is. I've yet to see it, but if a 4 wire coil was shorted to ground or battery voltage, I'd imagine it wouldn't be too good for the ecm

Use to rebuild alternators and starters from the strictest person doing it in Vermont.... Jeff Young Auto Electric. Working too hard for my current shop at Noyes Automotive with their other people screw ups and I have to fix. (Sort of) I am proud of it and have a well known fix reputation.
