DAMN by far the best-looking 04 in existence. that thing is just so clean and looks factory. Some people modify motorcycles and go overboard with flashy lights and chrome plating everything that moves but this is just super clean. This bike has Kawasaki saying to themselves "why didn't we think of that".

Love my 04! Doing a turbo build now so hoping to have it ready for the upcoming season. Nothing crazy, shooting for 210 to 220whp stock motor on a Garrett t28 turbo off an sr20 .

@@curtiscollazo9219 had both gen1 and gen2 ,gen2 smother power delivery though about the same hp ,better ride,only thing is the front brakes suck,a good upgrade would be Nissin brake calipers and master cylinder from a zx14 easy fix,had 5 of these gen 2s and no problem keeping up with anything new,though the gen1 on this video is highly modified, hard to beat a highly modified bike like this one,this bike on this video with all the mods is better than gen3 and gen4,this bike has upgraded suspension front and back,upgraded brakes,wheels, this guy didn't miss anything,upgrade the brakes and a quick shifter on the gen2 along with full exhaust system power commander and a computer flash and you'll have one serious bike.

That's a beautiful build, very nicely done! I've always had a soft spot for this generation of ZX10, has a certain purity to it that I really find appealing. From back when you really had to know what you're doing as a rider to control a bike like this.. Has your suspension upgrades calmed her down a bit, is she a bit more manageable?

@@bacchusthompson5834 I found some sheet carbon fiber on ebay, traced out the shape of the holes then went another half inch or so to overlap the hole then used a dremmel to cut, cleaned up the edge s with a palm sander and used a step bit with a couple of nice fairing bolts I had

Love it. I’m on my 2nd Pearl magma 05. I’ll never get rid of it. I’ve been contemplating those BST wheels as well but in the dark gold trim for the magma colored bike. Are they hard to keep clean and do they scratch easily when wiping them down? I very casually perused the interwebs for Ohlins suspension but couldn’t find anything.

They are no harder to keep clean than another wheel. Using a good wax on them keeps the shiny and clean dust up easy

I purchased an unmolested mint 2005 last August with 8,128 miles. It has 8,309 miles on it now. I will never sell it! I have thrown some tasteful parts at it including a ton of real carbon fiber.

The mirrors require bike specific adapters from Rizoma as well. I sold the WS6 back in 2012. Miss it and the gt500 too

I believe it is like an 09 version. The one with a similar looking swingarm. it is not an exact fit, you have to place a spacer under the front mount bolt, but other than that it matches the lines perfect

You want the 08-10 zx10r swingarm..the 6r is different

@@marcjorgensen Yeah thats what i would wanna do because i know that the swingarm for the 6r is a lot cheaper than the 10r. The thing is i have a 06 10r which had a broken frame and managed to get a 08-10 10r frame but not the swingarm. The one from the 06 10r bolts up perfect but it looks different due to the fact that the 06 10r has an undertail exhaust.

What’s the difference between the 04 and 05 year model. Also my zx10r says it was made n 11/04 does that make it an 2005 or 2004? Just curious

05 had some very minor changes, well fixes more than changes. Generator upgrades to prevent failure, slightly different paint options and that's about it. Depending on your county will determine year model. In the US its very simply in line with mso and title. Possibly an 05 model would have a 04 manufacturer date

So heavy it won’t spin around on the kickstand. It just noses on the front wheel. Also should I leave the factory 3mm spacer on the rear shock?
