You will lose performance off the line given how much taller 1st is in the 80e (2.45) compared to the 4L60es much shorter first gear of 3.06.

Did you have to tune truck to run the the 4l80e ?

Yes i took computer to my tuner for the segment swap and then the transmission was able to run

I actually didn't have to shorten my driveshaft just put on the yoke that came with the transmission and it worked perfect
