It would’ve been great if you would’ve done everything on camera .

This is the first "HOW TO" video I've ever seen, that doesn't actually show you "HOW TO" do anything

This was perfect for my driver side, did you do the passenger side? I have a light blue/cyan wire and a blue wire. I have no idea which is the positive or negative on this side.

So installed the new speakers & wired them but my music will not play… I also do not have original radio in I have a aftermarket touchscreen one in… Anybody have any suggestions?

it would have been nice to see you actually pop off the door panel to see how you did it without damaging the clips

There's a lot of parts this asshole didn't show.
@Hwan.421 Жыл бұрын
I did it today. Use a flat head screwdriver, very slowly go around the edge of the penal and pop out the clips. They usually get bent or break when reinstalling the penal so be sure to take your time. Hope this helped!

@@Hwan.421 I really appreciate the reply, thank you! I ended up selling my Scion some years ago, but I'm sure your reply will help someone else in the future.

What but did you use for the drill?

Just curious as to why you didn't use the supplied crossover for the speakers? Just picked up a set my self for my subaru and noticed a single passive unit was supplied. still trying to figure out how to wire it in without running multiple feet of new cable.
@ProvoBeastAudio8 жыл бұрын
+Jody Barrett Because the customer purchased these speakers used, and the tweeter set isn't the original set that came with the woofers. the tweeters had their own built in crossovers, hence why the video never showed a passive crossover used. I recommend using the main speaker wire in the door as your input of which goes directly to your crossover. Then from your crossover, wire in the tweeter and the woofer for simplicity. Mount the crossover in the door away from any places of moisture. Hope this helps.

It does, only dilemma I'm left with really, is trying to run the 4 speakers through a single passive crossover while still retaining the factory connectors. Would've been much easier if the kit supplied one per door, but what can you do... may have to bite the bullet here and start running some new wires. Cheers.

I would then recommend putting the crossover behind the radio where all speaker wires come together, that may help with the issue. But that would then force you to run new wire for tweeters and / or woofers. Good luck to ya!

wouldnt it make the tweeter sound bad at high volumen, because they are conected to the mid range?
@ProvoBeastAudio7 жыл бұрын
These tweeters had crossovers built in directly to the rear of the tweeter, protecting it from lower Frequencies, so they were protected.

The Factory or Aftermarket? Aftermarket ones are 1"

I was wondering for both but if the aftermarket are 1" and fit that's all i needed to know then, thanks!

Great video, just what I was looking for. Do these also fit in the back of the Scion TC?
@ProvoBeastAudio9 жыл бұрын
+Da Brofessionals Possibly, but the factory size fit is 5.25". When replacing the rear speakers, there is still enough room that with little modification, you could fit a 6.5".

Great vid - one question Can I still do it without a drill ?
@ProvoBeastAudio8 жыл бұрын
+Maciej Palubicki Well, if you can find another efficient way to remove those pop rivets, then yes. A drill is the most efficient way, however, google other methods for pop rivet removal and you can go from there.
