2005 CADILLAC SRX Won't Crank or Start...1 Click SOLVED!

This car had very few issues. Great daily driver. Drove it all day. No check engine light. Everything worked fine. Parked it and it would not Crank afterwards. Battery was good. Headlights were bright. Battery terminals were cleaned. Battery was given a jump. Still had the same issue.

I just searched KZbin on how to switch out a relay for a front turn signal on a 2007 SRX (I’m a girl not exactly mechanically inclined, but if I can watch a video, I can usually accomplish the task). Anyway, even though it wasn’t what I was searching for, coming across this actually helped me because every 6-8 months, I’m going through the exact same scenario as you did. *note to self- get the brand new starter when my time comes!

It's probably the fuse block on top of the battery. The 300 amp fuse blows or half blows then eventually melts away inside the plastic. Just did one in a 2010. Nor sure if the 2005 has the same setup but you have to jump it or replace the whole assembly. $83 dealer price through business name.

The second time you bought a "fuse" and it would crank but not turn over and the new fuse worked. - What fuse was it?

Probably another bad starter. You said it lasted 8 months. There you go. Also, your asking for trouble buying starters, alternators, water pumps at those corporate parts chain. In this case, go online and buy a New GM starter or a GM rebuilt unit.
