2005 Chrysler 300 Red lighting bolt

Quick fix for red lighting bolt on Chrysler 300 dash. Using my scan tool to find out what the problem was that cause the red light to come on. I suggest buying a scan tool so that way you won't have to guess what the problem is. #redlight, #lightingbolt , #chrysler300c

One is the cam sensor , the one on the left coolant temp sensor ,that's the one that affects air/fuel ratio!

Miss the coolant temp sensor for a idle /run problem!Dodge Bros. Are the ones who loaned HENRY FORD $$$$ to get started building Fords! So if it wasn't for DODGE THERE WOULD BE NO FORD MOTOR CO.!IF YOU WANT THAT 300 TO RUN EVEN GET NGK IRIDIUM PLATINUM SHE WILL BURN 95% OF THE FUEL. When you change the thermalstat do you need to take all that off to get and Lille the belt and stuff

Taking off that thermal stat is a beast you need to remove the air filter to clear room to work on it but get some tools small enough to get to the two bolts

Also what made that red bolt light come on was a bad temperature coolant sensor

@@user-cu3um8wr2t I used a Diagnostic Car Code reader to scan my car for codes just to see what come up.

@@djronthemechanic3695 scanned it came up as a high voltage to sensor 1 switched the sensor issue hasn’t happened in 2 days now so hoping it’s fixed

Hey I have the same red bolt on my codes I have a crankshaft sensor that’s faulty and the throttle body I’m thinking is the crankshaft sensor messing with fuel air ratios

Check all connections and also check your battery in the trunk. A bad battery in a Chrysler will drive all most everything crazy.

Great info. Just want to say... the lightning bolt is voltage issue. It links to many different sensors. So you can can it show for one thing and it come on another car for something different same make and model. Just want people to know this.

Check your battery , if you don’t have a check engine light on I suggest check the battery. A low battery will turn on the light.

That thermostat is in a tight spot on the driver side your will need some small ratchets to get to the bolts.

Check all your hose connection , have you ever had your throttle body taken off before. If not you might wanna clean it, I did mine and when I tell you it was black I bought some throttle body cleaner to clean it

I put a new throttle body in and it didn't stop every time I hit the good it whistles, ok I got my front rotters done they left my power steering cap was off and after that the whistle began......

What type of radio? The factory radios are linked to the cars pcm and alarm. You need an adapter when installing aftermarket radio unless you pay for high-end radio with it included. The adapter used to be 100 bucks. Might be cheaper these days.

I used a code reader to scan my car to find any codes, if you see a red dot on your dash also this means that your car is in security mode and there is a 6 step process to clear it

Haven’t looked it up yet but thank you! Car is running now but still throws me the lightning bolt and putters even after the PCM. It’s my first car and I don’t have enough money to get a new one right now 😪 hoping this shit will be over soon
