I did mine in the truck, two things that help.Getting the pins to fit in good.I used a broom handle and pushed slowly on the brake keep it pushed down.This pushed those two pins forward.Simple to just drop into place.Second person on the brake pedal best way.Oh release the brake slowly so you can make sure the pins and that grove they sit in stay in place.Second thing is getting the spring and gasket all put back together.That star at the end ,that your spring rod goes through.That is easy to remove,be careful just pry it out of it's grove.Do it from the back after you have separated the piston and spring.Dont try and take it before separating unit.Put the unit back together with out the spring or star.Makes putting it together much easier.Once everything back together slide the spring in from the back.Line the spring rod up and push on the star.I use a socket on a extension.Push on the star until it sits in it's retaining grove.Doesnt take much effort to push it in.

I say slightly dragging because I can jack up the truck and turn them by hand with a lot of force. No leaks on the master cylinder or hydro boost. Mine is leaking as well but the problems I’m having is with the stability control the brakes lock up you think that the leaking hydroboost is my problem ?
@notsofast23253 жыл бұрын
The power steering pump and brake system is tied together as you may know. As you press on the brake your creating pressure within the unit, if there is lack of pressure because of the leak yes your system will not function properly and your brake system and your stability will try to overcompensate it. I'm not a professional by any mean. But i can tell you this ,if it is leaking dont drive it , especially if your towing something. The fix is a cheap fix. Yes it takes time and yes you'll be on your back . But once your done you save $500 to $950 in repairs, and a sense of satisfaction that you were able to do this. Good Luck

But when I got to the part store I found out what it cost they're expensive. even on eBay an Amazon they cost a lot. I don't know about you but I love my money. So I asked around if these can be rebuilt no one could tell me if they sold a rebuild kit and no one knew how to rebuild one. further than just outright buying one. so I did some research and found they rebuild kit. then I went on KZbin to see if I can find someone that has rebuilt one before. I did find some but they were poorly done so I decided to make a KZbin video on this subject. if I known what I know now I probably would have attempted 2 remove only the what part like you suggested. But for me it was too late plus I didn't know what it took to rebuild one. You can try and let us know how it turned out. I hope I don't have to do this again it was kind of a pain but doable. If I did exactly what you did, I won’t have to bleed the brake lines?
@notsofast23253 жыл бұрын
The brake lines do not connect to the hydro booster.

i love how people block their license plate on vids....but drive around the country with it showing daily lol.
@notsofast232511 ай бұрын
As you know you have to show your license when you drive. But there are a lot more eyes on the internet 24 hrs a day. There's a lot of bad people out there. So you try to minimize the problems as much as you can.

How can you say you're a rebuild when you don't even change the front seals on it holy shit everybody wants to say rebuild, but nobody wants to completely rebuild it. They just want to throw a figure 8 rubber in there and rubber for the piston. There's a whole lot more to it than that, you're gonna claim rebuild rebuild
