Awesome vid!! I did replace my seals in '22 (2005 Avalanche z71). That tight space under the steering wheel was a pain in the back literally! I got my seal from a heavy equipment fabrication shop and compared the Amazon product that I also got. Big difference in strength and sturdiness so it was a easy choice which one I picked but a bit challenging for a DIY'er. By far the most satisfying task I have done with my truck projects and I'm pretty confident that seal ain't leaking for a very long time. Now to figure out why my 10amp AC comp fuse keeps shorting out...

Is there some bracket or spacer between the master cylinder and booster? So im having an issue where my breaks automatically apply pressure slowly after about 10mins of driving they lock up. Someone said that missing spacer or bracket could be the culprit. Do u have any clue to wat may cause that issue?
@notsofast232510 ай бұрын
I think you have a bad brake booster, there is a diaphragm in the middle of the booster.

Freddie USA

There was a little yellow plastic piece that fell out of my booster when I separated it. Where does it go it was just laying in there.
@notsofast23254 ай бұрын
Not sure.. the only piece that could be plastic is at the end of the spring. See 14:40 .. Mine is white. Good luck

Getting 03 escalade going after 3 years. Power steering very hard to turn and brakes are poor and go to the floor but still provide 30% braking. Is it the hydroboost. Im not sure but power steering pump seems good. But the booster doesn't seem to leak. Brake pettal stiff when suv is off.
@notsofast23253 ай бұрын
Fill your power steering with power steering fluid. Have someone start the car, and have them turn the steering wheel left to right. while there doing that, look at all the hoses that go from your power steering pump to the booster. If there is no leaks. then look under the booster ( see 2:39 ) see if its leaking there. Also make sure the belt tension to your power steering pump is good. good Luck.

@notsofast2325 Жыл бұрын
there easy to find. just type in - 2005 Yukon hydro brake booster repair kit - who ever you order from contact them and ask if it will work on your vehicle.

Have you ever had issues with the vacuum pump. I’m assuming mine doesn’t work for my hydro booster. Does not turn on at all. Ran power to it and the vacuum pump worked. Would you know if there is a relay or fuse for this?

I replaced the hydraulic booster on my 2002 cadillac escalade. I bled the hoses to make sure their was no air but the brake pedal is still loose. What could be the problem? Please help!!
@notsofast2325 Жыл бұрын
you probably have air in the master cylinder.

I can not move to the left but when I drive forward I'm able to move left would this hydro brake booster be the issue?

Do you remember what the part number was that you ordered for the hydro booster repair, I order a kit but my metal star looking retainer is smaller that the original it had.
@JFHomeServices Жыл бұрын
Do you think it’s possible to change seals without removing the whole booster from firewall?
@notsofast2325 Жыл бұрын
There have been some guys that say that it can to be done. but I have never done it that way. Good Luck. When you have it done your going to save a lot of money.

Impressionnant! Belle ville. J'espère y retourner bientôt. J'ai fait quelques vidéos du voyage.
