Thank you for making this video. Helped give me the confidence to do the repair myself. Can get an Autel for the price that locksmiths are charging to program the three keys that come with the replacement lock cylinder assembly so will likely go down that path.

So I did the part of putting the key into the ignition and turning the car on with the flat head. Was trying to drive it home to fix it and the steering wheel locked on me. Any idea on how to get the steering wheel to unlock? Would removing the old cylinder unlock it?

@@adrianramdenny1101 10:20 I take the immobilizer from the old one. Add it to the new one. Put old key in immobilizer and use flathead to start the vehicle

@@AnythingAuto one question, is there anything I need to tape or wire up so it doesn’t get in the way of me driving or using the steering wheel or any of the instruments? Or is there a way I can put the covers back over and still have the immobilizer accessible to start the car and have all of the wiring and stuff covered? I just don’t want to cause a wreck and I also don’t want to accidentally pull on anything or have anything fall while I’m driving and possibly damage something else. And thank you for your responses and time you’ve already helped me tremendously my car is an hour away at the place where I work and I cannot get the key to turn because of the cylinder and you showing the little screw driver trick saved me big time I thought I was going to have to work on the ignition in the parking lot but can now change it at home when I get the car back, thank you so much and I appreciate your help and any further help or advice you give me 👊🏻

OK I am confused. When you started programming with the autell, the key in the ignition is the First New Key? Or was it the old key?

Without rewatching it I'd assume 2 new keys. The old key won't work after installation so you'd use the new ones. I know the autel tells you step by step. You reused the switch any idea the part number for that. Mine buzzes and and no start randomly so mine is on its way out. But my cylinder assembly is still good.
