What are the coil packs numbers in the front left to right for a 3.0 v6 engine? I have been trying to find out how they number them. Are they 2,4,6. In the front and 1,3,5 in back?

All this types of v6 engines X-type 2001.5 onwards and the S-type 2002.5 onwards also DJ 2003.5 inwards bank 1 reads 1,3,5 and bank2 reads 2,4,6 so bank1 is the front and bank2 is the back

Hie man, I am one of your subscribers. I dont know if you can help with this one. My jaguar x-type engine is losing compression and cant move uphill even on a flat slope. My mechanic is suggesting opening the engine and is suspecting piston issues etc. The entire job seems so costly and I am not a fan of opening engines as the performance of the engine may not be the same or worse. I intend to replace my engine instead as it seems cheaper and more safer. my problem here is that my Jaguar X-type is a 2.1L 2WD and I'm only finding either 2.5L engines or 3.0L engines. Will there be a problem if i replace my engine with a 2.5L or 3.0L engine since they look similar is size but differ as the these other 2 are AWDs? what else would i need to change if i am replacing with either a 2.5L or 3.0L engine?

The only thing I suggest right now is remove the sparks plugs and pour some sea foam and let it soak overnight. Reinstall the sparks plugs and try that and see if that works.

i do hope you know seafoam dont work and the main problem the v6 has for missfiring is the 2.5 3.0 V6 ENGINE BREATHER SILICONE HOSE PIPE and m8 liquid gasket dont be a tite ass replace with gen parts BTW use cataclean on your car i use it ever 3 month on my V6 2.5 x type seefoam is just a con m8

I just stick to what works for me. And I'm just trying to share it with everyone. Since I finished with the service on the Jaguar I haven't had anymore misfiring issues. But thank you for your input.

@@ricardosingh3706 A lot of different stuff can cause misfires. It can be a vacum leak, low compression, fuel pump, fuel filter intake or exhaust valves or can be an electrical issue. Let me know if you have any questions.
