to each their own...but I think the 05 only two tone edition had exclusive wheels....and of course the badging and hood ornament....which is a 160.00 dealer only item that sells well ....I would keep it stock and not add any (obvious) aftermarket parts or wheels....it is a collectable after all....in the sea of Vics and Grands

Hey I've been paranoid about how loud my engine sounds exactly like yours like that ticking at idle, ever have any engine problems due to that? I've got an 05 gs

What's with those awful aftermarket wheels? Otherwise, a beautiful and very rare edition of the Grand Marquis.

Haha, they aren't aftermarket wheels. They are genuine Ford wheels. They come from Brembo Track Pack Mustangs. 19x9 wheel with 255 rubber on them. They have been chrome dipped which suites this cars scheme well.

What was wrong with the original alloy wheels that came with this car from the factory?

The GS Two Tone Edition cars do not come with alloy wheels. Since they are actually from the GS line they have 16" steel wheels with chrome covers. Perhaps some are ordered with higher option wheels but in the six years I've owned this one I've never seen a two tone with factory alloys.

I see. Do you know if there were any black & silver or burgundy & beige tu-tone editions? This was the only Grand Marquis to have a hood ornament since the 1992 re-skin.

No, they only came in three color combos, white/gold, white/silver, and green/silver.
