Here's a quick little video I made on how to make a funnel for paint cans.

You can use the outside of the can to get your cardboard round. Then put it into the slot.

That's the solution. Beautiful. As you noted, make the funnel a little shorter so that your grab fingers don't have to reach so high and can assist in keeping the funnel pulled tight against the paint can rim.

I've been using a ladle from the dollar store for this purpose.

Ooooh, that's a great idea! I had not thought of that! Then you can just wash the ladle! Thanks for sharing!!

I do also. But you need to catch the dripping to keep it off the rim. I hate the mess the rim can be.

Great design! The only issue that i have is the use of card board. I can see cardboard debris get in the paint. Not an issue for a lot of folks but I have customers that will spot that one debris and throw a hissy fit!

Perfect idea, brilliant. I'll just use the card from a cereal box.

Good except at 2:38 "These are going to be your thumb holes. These holes will allow you to put your thumbs in the funnel to hold onto paint can." You sure have two funny looking additional thumbs. Never saw you put your first set of thumbs in the holes. Just your forethumbs or are those really forefingers (index finger)?

Good idea. If you make it out of plastic, you could use it over and over, and not have to make one over and over. Thx.
