I have an 08 vista blue gt premium 5 speed. Wish it only had 13k miles lol. She got about 130k. But still running strong even with all the nitrous I’ve put through it over the last year. Love the vista blue kona blue and deep impact blue.

Hey Brent, can you add an intercooler to the novi 1200 throwback package or does it have to be the 2200?
@BrenspeedEngineering

Yes you can. Installing one today as a matter of fact. Here is a link. www.brenspeed.com/airtoairupgrade.html

example if i took a stock engine and done nothing but install a forged pistons and rods could it handle 15 lbs ??? great video as always !!!!
@BrenspeedEngineering
@BrenspeedEngineering 2 жыл бұрын
Never tried that. Honestly at that point it really makes no sense not to do the crank. I would never tear an engine that far down and just do rods and pistons you are almost all the way apart. Thanks for watching!

@@BrenspeedEngineering yea youre right the "street myth" i hear often is stock crank supposedly holds 700+. basically what im asking is all you need to do is forge the bottom end to turn the boost up on a 3v to get upwards of 500rw? or is there more toit (stock engine)
@midnight347
@midnight347 2 жыл бұрын
Easy. The rods are the main reason they're limited to the 450 torque number. Once rods and pistons are upgraded ceiling rises to 600-700 wheel easily.
@midnight347
@midnight347 2 жыл бұрын
@@blackriflex39 you can make 500+ on a stock engine with the right supporting mods. Fbo cams and headers with boost will easily do that. If you had upgraded rods and pistons it could do 700 imo.

@BrenspeedEngineering

Do I need to upgrade my stock clutch if I get one of these ?
@BrenspeedEngineering
@BrenspeedEngineering 2 жыл бұрын
Tough one. Most do not but understand the cars are literally 15 years old. So at some point it is going to need a clutch anyways if not already. If the stock clutch is in good condition it normally works.

I have a 3v auto and I want to push at 400whp what should I start of? I already have a intake cat delete tune. Do I need boost or could I go bolt ons? And to be safe for my daily driver
@BrenspeedEngineering
@BrenspeedEngineering 2 жыл бұрын
Hi couple things. A good goal for a 3V auto with bolt on parts would be 330 rwhp dynojet SAE. Check out this playlist of 3V videos. Headers, Cams, Intake Manifold, Cold Air, and pulleys. Great place to start. kzbin.info/aero/PLyyePPaOSI81BtzSrQjoJ_rJzqp6xzk1t

Looks like you do a LOT more of the Paxton style super chargers than the edelbrock style. Why is that?
@BrenspeedEngineering
@BrenspeedEngineering 2 жыл бұрын
1. Paxton HO is about $1400 less for same power 2. Edelbrocks are hard to get. They can take months to get in stock. We have waited as long as 8 months and as short as a few weeks. Typically it is months though. 3. We typically have Paxton's in stock or can get them in as little as a couple weeks. They are very reliable as well.

@midnight347

What does an s550 have to do with this video? If I had a dollar everyone someone tried to shove coyotes and ls down peoples throats I'd be rich. S550 have more potential but cost 2 or 3 times more money so it's all relative. Not everyone wants an s550 and not everybody needs 1000 hp.

I bought the Roush for less then $17,000 about 2 years ago with 7,500 miles on it when I was about 19 years old. Now before supercharging it I did really consider getting a 13-14 S197 or a early S550 but I just enjoyed it so much that I couldn’t sell the 3V. I really want a S550 but I am years from being able to afford it unfortunately.
