I deleted the box in my xc60 but doesn't sound as good... It's like a little little little louder but can't really tell. I might delete the middle silencer. What do you think?

that´s a resonator not a muffler in the middle

I removed my cats, and deleted the muffler, when standing outside the noise is good, but from the inside it isn't pleasant at all. Any suggestions to make it sound better?

Put in a resonator. It dampens the sharp notes but doesn't obstruct air flow

0:41 I have the same metal tapping sound on my D5. I wonder if this is an injector or not, it's not the lifters because I already replaced them and that sound was gone.

Either vacuum leak (pump pumping but can’t build up neg. Pressure) or valve tappets/injector knock but usually knocking only starts when accelerating not in idle, can be different tho.

I have a 2003 S60 d5 the fuel economy is so poor it's worse than a petrol it is the most uneconomical diesel car ever made im getting an Audi again Google it most people are only getting 28 miles per gallon what a joke

I've got 2004 s60 d5 with over 200000 on the clock and will still do nigh on 60mpg cruising and 40+ mpg local.

469000 km - 2003 s60 d5 - 4 L / 100 km. Check - tires - wheel alignment - engine and engine oil !!!

Yeah, I'd second the replies - get 45-60mpg from my 09 depending on the driving
