I always hate to see people butchering these clips.. They don't have to break.. Spray some brake cleaner on them, that'll get the grime out and carefully wiggle them loose.

Hi there, I am here watching your video because my 2009 RAV recently started making a growling/vibrating noise. It started after I had my transmission fluid changed. I read on another video that changing the transmission filter should help with the growling noise. Have you heard about this issue with RAVs? I'm wondering if the mechanic was careless with something during the drain and refill.

Thank for the outstanding video. My pan bolts came out with a little resistance as well. As I understand it, tread-lock is applied on these bolts at the factory and that's the reason there is some resistance. I've seen another mechanic reapplying tread-lock to the bolts before reattaching the pan. I didn't do this myself, as I could feel there was enough of the factory tread-lock still on the bolts to keep them snugged up.

I was in the middle of my filter change and got stuck on those pan bolts behind the frame. That's when I found this video and the rest of the repair went off pretty much without a hitch

I think it's best to check the fluid level on the dipstick of the old fluid before you drain it out because the transmission might be overfilled. And you can use a nut driver to start tightening the bolts in the beginning for hand comfort .
