Chris Leak was cold blooded in that 4th quarter. Doesn't get a lot of credit. Great game

I remember this one. This was right after the South Carolina game where Jarvis Moss blocked a field goal with the tip of his finger. UCLA defender make a crazy interception to beat USC. We won our conference championship. Then went on to whoop down a supposedly unbeatable Ohio state team. GO GATORS cause if you ain't a Gator your Gator bait

I was with a lot of fsu fans on this day, this was like my sophomore year of high school and if our natty title hopes were gonna die at the hands of a bad fsu team I would too would of died. Lol upset avoided. Thank you Leak!!! He had a lot of big 4th quarter drives that year. Especially when we’re down by 2tds in the 4th up in Knoxville

As a Florida fan this is not one of my favorite games of the series. I love this rivalry but one thing about it that bothers me is that there are very few quality games, typically it seems like there are too many mistakes or one team is having a much stronger year than the other. Oddly enough seeing as how I'm a Florida fan the 2014 game was one of my favorites. Very hard fought and entertaining for the most part
@1973ajm8 жыл бұрын
That's interesting coming from a Gator. Agreed, 2014 was one of the better games in the series. Jameis was playing giveaway for the 1st quarter and a half and I remember screaming in the stands (yes, I was at the game) telling him to be patent and make smarter throws. He was taking WAY TOO MANY chances.
@willhopson12778 жыл бұрын
+Andrew Millott well and Floridas defense was stacked. Offensively they were way too inept to have a prayer. Another game that Florida lost in this series that I don't mind is the 93' game. Very well played game

FSU fan here. Yeah, in the mid to late 2000's UF was the dominant team while FSU struggled. Then in the 2010's FSU was dominant while UF struggles. I miss the days of the 1990's when both teams were top 10, or top 5 teams and the game often decided the national championship. Those are the days I want to see again: Great games by great teams loaded with talent.The 1990's were the best days of this rivalry.
@doctoronoodle94557 жыл бұрын
2004-2009 IS the mid to late 2000's. Yeah, FSU was totally not competitive during that time, first offense struggled, then defense. Florida was dominant during this time. Afterwards, FSU was dominant while UF struggled. I would like to see the 2013 FSU team take on the 2006 or 2008 Gators, when BOTH teams were good.

After watching this, I have no doubt the 2013 Noles would've beaten this 2006 UF team by at least 17 points. FSU was so bad offensively. Thank goodness we got rid of dumb and dumber, I mean Jeff Bowden

Why don't you watch Florida vs Ohio State 2006 BCS game and try to say that with a straight face
@1973ajm9 жыл бұрын
+Leonardo Aldecocea I have a few times and I stand by the fact that the 2013 Noles would've beaten this gator squad. The 2006 were good, don't get me wrong, but the 2013 Noles were loaded across the board. Would've been a good game no doubt, but IMHO, the 2013 Noles would've pulled away in the 4th quarter and won by about 17.
@bigfanofdong9 жыл бұрын
Andrew Millott 2006 Florida wasn't stacked by any means. They got to the chip through great coaching, close gutsy wins, and a lot of luck in the final weeks of play. However, 2008 Florida would've ran through 2013 FSU and it wouldn't even be funny. Meyer>Jimbo, Tebow(in college)> Winston, Haden and Jenkins > Darby and Williams. Hernandez > Oleary. Harvin > Rashad Greene, Gator offensive line with the Pounceys > FSU line. Carlos Dunlap and Jermaine Cunningham > Mario Edwards. Major Wright and Ahmad Black probably even with Ramsey and Joyner. Brandon Spikes > Telvin Smith
@1973ajm9 жыл бұрын
+Leonardo Aldecocea. So we want to bring the 08 gates in this? OK, now we have a game. first off, we established that the 08 gates were better than the 06 gang. Agreed, no argument there. But, how about a different opinion. QB - Tebow vs Jameis. Tebow was better running the ball, but Jameis was better passing it. Edge - EVEN RB- Demps and Rainey vs Freeman and Wilder. Edge - 13 Noles. I'll take Freeman and Wilder all day, any day and twice on Sunday. WR- Harvin, Murphy, and Cooper vs Shaw, Greene, and KB. Edge- 13 Noles. Don't get me wrong Percy Harvin was good, but KB IMHO would've been a matchup problem for Jankins (5-10) and Haden (5-11). OL- Edge- EVEN - Look, I know the Pouncey twins were good, but don't kid yourself Tre Jackson, Bryan Stork (currently starting for the Pats), and Cam Erving (1st round pick, Browns) were not exactly slouches. TE- The future inmate vs O Leary. Edge - Maybe a slight edge to the inmate, but NOL would more than hold his own with him. D Line - Edge - EVEN- While I give the 08 Gates a slight edge in DE, I give the 13 Noles the edge in DT. Got two words for ya, TIMMY JERNIGAN! TJ would totally clog the middle. We were loaded at DT and not too shabby at DE either. LB- Brandon Spikes vs Telvin Smith. Edge-slight edge to 08 gates mainly because of spikes, but telvin (and sometimes christian jones) would more than hold there own. Secondary- CB Jankins and Haden vs Joyner and Williams. Edge - EVEN Safety- Black and Wright vs Ramsey and Brooks and Ramsey. Edge- EVEN. Both secondaries were REALLY GOOD. FWIW, the 13 Noles rotated Joyner from CB to Safety off and on during that year (I believe). No, the 08 gates WOULD NOT have "run through" the 13 Noles. This would've been a great game. Obviously, you know who I think would win, so we can just agree to disagree. 2008 Alabama and 2008 Oklahoma were competitive with the 08 gates and the 13 Noles were as good if not better than those two teams. In short, this would be a great game in which the margin of victory would be no more than 7.

+Andrew Millott 2013 Noles played nobody and shouldv'e got run out of the Rose Bowl by Auburn. 08 Gators>13 Noles
