@@Nigelsmom2136 Never watched AMC or OLTL so I can't really speak on those shows. I just know when she was EP of both General Hospital and Santa Barbara those shows were fantastically entertaining. She always had the most talented casts & the writing was top notch. She knew better than anyone how to produce award winning shows. The boatload of Emmys she won proves it.

I was very angry that year. I thought Y&R had it in the bag w/ Cassie's death!!!!! Glad they won in 2007 in which they tied with GL but didn't care. As long as it's CBS!!!!!!

The only reason why GH has won Emmys for Drama Series under Phelps is because Frons rigs it for them. That is a known fact.

@Jozar S. Y&R could have but I think their second submission is what hurt them. I would have loved B&B to win but that drug storyline is more Writing than Drama Series

@@celticdw1983 But Y&R first episode was Sooooo good it didn’t matter what their second submission was….When The Cassie death episode aired in 2005, it was far gon conclusion that they had Drama series in the bag. Y&R was Robbed which is why they turned around and won the next year with those awful Submissions

Similar to the 2003 Daytime Emmy Awards, even B&B was better than GH back then. As a newcomer (started watching back in January 2022), 2005 was probably one of the worst years of GH that I’ve seen so far. I hear that Y&R was spectacular in 2005, and 2005 was probably the last really memorable year of B&B (at least after 2002).

I agree with everything you said except B&B…Both B&B and Y&R were running on Octane that year 05-06….I remember Entertainment Weekly states that Y&R could toe to toe with anything on TV@ That time it was just that good. All the TV pundits had predicted Y&R to win just off one submission-Cassie’s death

General Hospital and Y&R were both really good in 2005, but I think General Hospital was a little bit more better in my opinion.

Nah GH couldn’t compete with Y&R during 2005, Hell when you have publications like Entertainment Weekly and Time ranking it as some Best TV on TV(during that time period) GH couldn’t Hold a candle to Y&R that year.

Doing something right? She has her BFF, Brian Frons, rig the award in her favor nearly every time they are nominated for it (only time it did not happen was 2004)...that is a known fact. It is either that or they just produce two Emmy winning shows a year and don't give a shit about the rest of the shows.

I have an ego because I dislike the biggest hack in soaps? LOL thanks for the projection, smart alley, but it ain't true...and I don't hate Phelps. I feel nothing for her. And all the years they won (2005 for 2004, 2006 for 2005, 2008 for 2007) were completely unwatchable years, IMO. Not all the soap nominees, for each year, turn out bad material for the majority of the year. And he rigs them...that is a clear fact. My source confirms it. Why anyone would stick up for Phelps is beyond me. HAHA
