I still have my original plugs in my 4.3L Silverado. They have 194,000 miles on them now and still going....

That goes to show you just how reliable GM really is, but I think it's better to be safe than sorry.

That what I just told him. 167k on mine and not an issue. The plugs are never the problem.

@@andyhamilton8940 Not when you figure out that the chinese cut corners on replacement parts. I say dont fix what is not broke. Mechanics fear that sentence most of the time. Spark plugs on Silverados dont fail very often if at all.

The 7th plug you pulled out looks as clean as your new one. So interesting. You are pre-servicing your truck. Your front end will give you a shit ride before your spark plugs fail.

I'll be replacing them soon. I kept getting to busy at the end of the year and I'm not paying $500 when I have all the tools in the world to do it myself

Mine had factory iridiums somehow unless previous owner changed them but the hardest to reach plug hole had a few stripped threads! Luckily I got that sumbitch in there just hope it's all the way in lol.

@@graysonsgarage5157 is it actually faulty? Because it seems like a known problem with other people I have talked too where ot throws the code P0101 or P0102. I'm told just leave because I may end up chasing and never solving the problem

Truck does rev better with pennzoil 👌.

I've been using it since the day I've owned it. I did occasionally try express lube at one point in time, but later became loyal to Pennzoil ever since.

You have to understand that mechanics will tell you that GM recommends X at Y miles. Even if X will still function for the next 100k miles. Fix X when it breaks in this case, but with brakes fix them even when not broken if you can do that. Check your pads and your hydros. Because looking up from your iphone when everyone stops in front of you matters.

Do not put anti seize on electrical parts, anti seize conducts electricity.

Anti seize does a chemical reaction with certain spark plugs and will weaken threads and will brake next time they gotta come off. There's plenty of videos on here on KZbin about why you shouldn't use anti seize on certain spark plugs.
