It is generally easy to do maintenance on trucks with big engine bays. I was hoping to see the wires done too.

At 1:55 you push on the ratchet so easily onto the spark plug. For me it doesn’t let me push in all the way, so when I turn the ratchet it just spins freely… idk why the socket doesn’t wanna grab onto the spark plug?? The one on the left was so easy to change

What was the sparkplug gap? Or the recommended gap for that engine?

Never trust pre gapped plugs. The correct gap for 1999-2013 Chevy 4.3l v6 sparkplugs is 0.060,

How do you get the clips holding the wires to release so you can change the wires? Thanks!

I've heard that using any other spark plugs other than AC delco wasn't good for chevys. Is this true because I have the same model as you do and just had new Bosch plugs put in
@DeColaBros3 жыл бұрын
I don't think that this should be an issue. As long as the plug matches in size and heat rating with a direct part number cross reference, I don't see why you can't use Bosch. It does call for double platinum metal type though so make sure its not a base copper plug.

Found this video because someone was trying to tell me all 6 plug wires were supposed to be straight and the two that had 90 degree ends would not work :D

How do you know it's 11lbs when you tighten the spark plug? Just enough tightness?
@DeColaBros2 жыл бұрын
I know from experience and doing it many times but snug and not over tight is a good way to describe it
