Great job, I have to change my heater core hose because that t connector cracked, Monro wanted $380.00 to change it, I'll be doing it tomorrow, in 35 degree weather. Nice seeing your Dad is with you, my Dad used to work on his cars when I was younger and taught me so much, sadly he passed a couple of years ago.

When you popped the old water pump loose, it looked like orange Dexcool came out. But when refilling the expansion tank, it looked like old style green ethylene glychol was going in? Or was that a universal anti-freeze compatible with the Dexcool? Did you put another Autozone Duralast pump back on?

It was a dexcool from autozone idk if the color changed

@@EatingGoodWithRickandJerre You're good then. Mixing the old green with Dexcool can cause sludging in the coolant passages, radiator, heater core. Lots of pics around on the web of that.

Good video, thanks for all the info, I need to change the heater hoses in my 06 Silverado, I can tell that the right hose is leaking from the fire wall having rusty water damage.

You will need a heater hose remover how to go to the same process when I change my hoses

To get the heater core hose connectors off. Cut a credit card with 1/4 in cuts on the edge to make a circular credit card. Slide it behind the connector and into the connection.

How do you remove the hose from the left connect ? It’s not clamped on it’s under a ring on the connect

You should of drained the radiator 1st
