super awesome video man! I've got a pretty decent drip in mine and I've been putting it off bc I'm not the most mechanically inclined individual, not an idiot either lol I think I'm gonna give it a whirl this weekend. thanks again man, great step by step instructions, super clear and easy to understand.

Really appreciate your thorough explanation! Tomorrow's the day I'm gonna make it happen for my 160k 2003 Sierra. It really is a great vehicle to work on by my somewhat limited experience.

Good luck on your project and hope it all goes smoothly. Keep me updated and thank you for the feedback.

Got it done when I said I would, and apart from the cursing fit one hose clamp gave me, I'd say it went pretty smoothly! Thanks a lot!

Forgot to mention to turn on the heat so u can get all the air from water pump and heater core! Keep the heat on high while getting the air bubbles out, otherwise great video thanks!

That stubborn bolt! Did you impact it or breaker bar it? Torch? Pb?

Great question , this truck came stock with just an electric fan. Thanks for watching.

Yeah I had to scroll the video back a couple times to see the electric fan in there. Doing the fan clutch on mine was big PITA.

@@jspaulding4106 how did you ever get it off? Seriously its so tight

how do take the air out
@s33therfan Жыл бұрын
99 percent of the time I run it with my degas funnel , and after that take it for a brief test drive. After it cools release more air by removing the cap. Then driving it to work out the rest. If you are having issues with trapped air , park it on an incline or elevate the front , running it this way will usually get the most stubborn air pockets. Thanks for watching.

Really clear video I thought was an excellent job explaining but also showing each move made.and very important about torquing the bolts back open thermostat to fill up coolant can be deceiving to a greenhorn.i haven't changed one in over fifteen years but after watching this video I feel completely comfortable saving myself a lot of money and making sure the job is done right.thank you and I hope to find a lot more videos of common fixes on 06 g.m.c.sierra trucks as I need them to keep my old truck blowing fords ,dodges and imports off the road powered by Chevy.lol
