2006 Chrysler Town & Country Speaker Upgrade Front Doors Infinity Reference 6.5" 6522EX

An upgrade to the car audio system of my 2006 Chrysler Town & Country minivan. I replace the factory front door stereo speakers with Infinity Reference 6522EX 6.5 inch coaxial speakers. This is a conversion from 6x9 to 6.5 inch speakers. I also installed
Metra 72-6514 Speaker Wiring Harnesses and Metra 82-6901 Speaker Mounting Brackets

Thanks for sharing. I have a 2016 Grand Caravan. I want to put Fosgate 6x9 in the doors and I’m the back. I’m pretty sure that the space in the doors are shallow. Which 6x9 speakers are you using?

I have JBL GTO639 6x9's in the back of mine

In the front I have the Infinity Reference 6.5" speakers with an adapter plate for the 6x9 opening. I did this because Crutchfield's website recommended doing it that way, but I'm sure that many 6x9 speakers will fit.

How are you liking them now? Any decent bass from them? I know that's not really what they're for. Also, why did you decide on 6.5 instead of 6x9?

I still think they sound a lot better than the stock speakers. They give a small amount of bass, but the JBL GTO 6x9's that I installed in the rear definitely have a lot more bass. I went with 6.5" because the Crutchfield site recommended them as a fit. For some reason they didn't recommend any 6x9's though I'm guessing some 6x9 speakers will fit without interfering with the windows, but I can't confirm that from experience.
