Using those plugs that you soldered into place making everything so easy to service was sheer genius. I will be installing some 6x9 speakers and I will most likely adopt your technique. I just hope my local Princess Auto Store carries those plugs. If they do, it's a go. Thanks so much for this dynamite tip.

U seem to do good work, do u suggest those connectors over the factory ones? If my car already has the factory ford style adapter/connector wld u Sauter the cable to the speaker and just put that style connector on or make a short whip w that connector then have the otherside terminate into the factory one? It wld go speaker that connector then whip then factory connector

Deutsch is my preferred connector now, but these are really simple and proven. Motorola still uses this type of connection to power some of their radios. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqLcaptjidOprM0si=AjrYdSbMaE7ImSjm

I like the part about not just saying not my problem, I hate when companies or people do or say that! In my biz I alwayz try to avoid that and if I do end up cutting a corner or something will tell the customer it's not what I wld suggest doing but will work. So sometimes I will end up doing something that I just have to say not my problem but t sleep at night and ease my mind I have to be sure I told whoever it's for it's not the best way!

Hello I need your help I am having a base variant car which did not provide any wiring as well as any infotainment I have purchased a new infotainment and going to do the wiring My question is - Can I directly connect tweeter and speaker to the door Or i will need a crossover or amplifier to connect bass and tweeter
@AnthonyJ350 Жыл бұрын
You need some sort of cross over device to limit bass that goes to the tweeter.

my '88 Mazda had speakers in the lower dash...worst place for them as all sound is pointed too your knees (or lower) . It's more off axis than door mounted speakers....

What if you have to repair a part in the door I.e. a power door lock or window regulator. You also might need to replace the weather striping by the window, replace glass, add sound deadening, maybe to body work from the inside etc.
@aturboford19 ай бұрын
Not necessarily the speaker but anything behind a plastic panel that the speaker mounts to. If I need to pull my plastic quarter panels covers for collision repairs or suspension modifications , I can pop the connector and leave the speaker in place
