I love when he was gagging and choking the woman said " Nice ,". But on the other hand I love the close-ups cuz in other videos I could not see exactly where they were working because the video was too far . Good job on all the details you gave and good job on the close-ups it really helps .

Just wanted to say thanks for a great attempt at expaining the components, and also making this video. However, there are couple errors that can cause confusion for those who watch it. I recommend edititng the video to correctly identify each component. Also as stated earlier, that is the wrong Relay. The correct Relay is directly to the left of the one you have pulled out. What you hear is the engine cooling fan running and not the Air Pump under the headlight.

the relay directly to the left is for high beams, i recommend editing the comment to provide accurate information

Yea wrong relay slot, I can confirm. I tried what the poster said but it sounded like a fan so it took me a little while to realize something is wrong. The video did help me figure out that my smog pump was bad because one I started shorting the correct relay(the one to the left of it if facing the cabin) i could tell that my smog pump was not working. Luckily I have 2 focuses and was able to check on the other one that indeed the smog pump turns on. You short the same exact spots as the guy mentions in the video just the other relay slot.

The reason the secondary blower motor hose filled with water is because the secondary blower motor check valve flap was stuck open. This allowed hot air into the hose and when it cooled moisture condensed and eventually filled the hose with water. This probably was what caused the failure of the motor too.

The CORRECT relay is all the way to the right by itself. (all the way to the right in the fuse box)

According to the wiring diagram on the EGR vacuum solenoid their is no ground, it is hot. By doing this you can short out the system.

I found it very tough to remove the relay and the vacuum line from the barbed connectors. To a lot of wiggling back and forth and too and fro.

You know the relay you jumped was for the cooling fan.

When I showed how to short the left pin of the solenoid to ground to run the blower motor (with the key in the On position), I incorrectly stated it was the check valve. Oops sorry.

I stated it was a 4A fuse. Oops, it is fuse 4 but it is a 30A fuse
