Very helpful may God bless you with more knowledge, have same code rx400h will change and update. Best to buy new or used could give off incorrect voltage again, will have to assess, ring dealer hope it's not extortionate.

Sorry but what a load of tosh ( uk means rubbish) . This is usually caused by excessive moisture, exacerbated by cold or winter when the moist gets trapped between the carpet which is rubberised. The intermittency is nothing ever todo with the fans . Purely my disassemble and it cleaning up everything that looks remotely damp drying everything out with an electric fan shut inside the car. Then re-assembly. Communication issues with the ECU and battery ECU are primarily grounding issues or as mentioned moisture getting where it shouldn’t, the battery is particularly susceptible because it’s at the base of the car which is where all water even condensation builds up. These are more or less bulletproof cars with justice more annoying moisture issue

The hybrid battery looks nothing like a Prius with the NiMH modules! Where can I look at videos to repair the traction battery? Have you done the rebuilding yourself?

Yes, when you open the case there are three sets of modules. They did this to allow for better cooling. The left and right modules are identical. The middle module has less cells. You’ll need a drill and remove the rivets holding the cells together and rivet them back together. I did swap out the cells with good ones but I failed in finding the correct cell and gave up. I used tech stream to identify the low voltage cell and replaced it but it didn’t seem to fix it. I think more than a few of my cells were bad. In hind site I should have replaced one of the three modules as a unit. I sold the car

Is there anything you can do to fix salt water corrosion? Near miss hurricane . The water just came up into battery pack but not the floor board.

@@DebtFreeCars ok do you need to disconnect the hybrid battery wires to remove the cover or can you just remove the cover and then fans without disconnecting the wires?

@@richardkwon6697 you need to remove the safety plug (orange). Then remove the top covers, lots of bolts. Then the fan comes out pretty easy after that. Keep everything else in place.

Hey here you go. Here the part number for the fans. There are three. I just changed all 3. You also need to test with the metal cover on. It grounds the system.

Ya. You’ll need to replace the bad cells in the hybrid battery pack. There are some KZbin videos on how to remove each cell but when I tired I was not successful.
