2006 v50 ecm unplugged

hi my v50 has the same problem. What was the wall in your vehicle? I would appreciate if you write. Thank you.

The problem was a faulty ECM, once it was replaced everything was 100% again

Geoff240ti thank you so much . I asked him over the phone now that he said it was 1000 Euros and he is just changing service. I bought 1200 Euros v50 - 1000 Euros I don't know what to do with the new ECU. thank you again 🙏 have a nice day.

@@idriskose8451 I sent my old ECM away and had them program a replacment with all my vehicle data. It was around 500 USD for me.. but that was years ago now. Good luck with your repair!

My car is 05 reg s40 1.8 petrol it looks the the exact same as you're dash bord dials even the messages you're getting not sure where the ecm is this the cars computer or a fuse thing is it in the car on the passenger side below the glove box I replaced the battery and now I get nothing when I turn the key plus the key is stuck in the ignition I'll be getting it recovered in the morning and brought to the professionals witch I'm far from I spent 2 days messing about wit it my self got no were prob made it worse ty geoff for the info tho I'll let you no what my issues as soon as I no hopefully I'll get lucky like you and its a small fix

The ECM was under the engine compartment. Mine was the T5 turbo engine but Id imagine the ecm has the same location. It was a real mystery, good friend of mine was a master volvo technician who I kept phoning for help. We scratched both our heads for quite awhile. Good luck!

@@Geoff240ti thanks bud hopefully its the same issue as you my mechanic I usually go to is laid up for a while after an operation and I don't want to bother him so I'll just have to take to a different garage and hope thay can sort it for me with out costing an arm and a leg Its been raining here in Ireland the last few days water must of got in somewhere it shouldn't be Before this the cars been bullet proof

I replaced the ECM and it fixed everything! I found a service online that would ship me another one so I never even had to see a dealer.
