I’m a fan of Nelly and I was taken aback by your take on Promiscuous. The beat is so freaking catchy, the horns are a highlight of the track. Frankly, I think the back and forth from Nelly Furtado and Timberland works just fine for the song. Obviously Timberland isn’t known for his singing abilities, but his voice doesn’t sound terrible. Lastly, I’ll add that the song has held up surprisingly well in the course of two decades and the young generation still thinks it’s a bop.

It was the energetic high point of the 4-day festival, and yes I was there. While criticisms of the lyrics are valid, Promiscuous is undeniably still a banger. I work in a bar where they've been playing it every week since I started, and even in that context, it's always the energetic high point of the night.
